Wildfire

For days, fire fighters in Southern California have been battling a massive wildfire that broke out north of Los Angeles on Thursday last week. A plane is pictured here dropping fire retardant near Lancaster, California. Today, with temperatures dropping and humidity on the rise, fire fighter units were finally able to gain the upper hand in the struggle, containing about 60 percent of the raging blaze.
