Joe Lieberman lived to be 82 years old and so far, as I am aware, is the last good decent Democrat in office. Al Gore picked him to be his Vice President, and I know of no republican who saw him as bad.
Where is a good Democrat I want to know. Who can name a decent Democrat and why is the politician good in your opinion? Joe cashed in his Democrat membership and gave up on them to be an Independent.

Joseph Isadore Lieberman was an American politician, lawyer, and former U.S. Senator from Connecticut (1989–2013) who became the first Jewish candidate on a major party’s presidential ticket as Al Gore’s running mate in 2000. A centrist Democrat-turned-independent, he championed causes from environmental protection to repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” helped create the Department of Homeland Security, and was known for bipartisan work. He died in 2024 at age 82.

The bad news is that he was ineffective....A poor replacement for Joe McCarthy.
Edward William Proxmire (November 11, 1915 – December 15, 2005) was an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as a United States senator from Wisconsin from 1957 to 1989. He holds the record for being the longest-serving senator from Wisconsin.[1]

Known as a political maverick and an aggressive critic of wasteful government spending, Proxmire invented and awarded the tongue-in-cheek Golden Fleece Award to appropriations he found particularly egregious. He was a member of the Senate Banking Committee, the Senate Appropriations Committee, and the Joint Economic Committee. On the Joint Economic Committee, he exposed numerous instances of wasteful spending on military programs such as the C-5 aircraft and the F-16 fighter, as well as other government programs such as the development of a supersonic transport airplane (SST).

Lieberman was nothing more than another machine poltician who worked for Israel, and against the American people.

In 2003, Lieberman proposed a one-time earned legalization program for undocumented immigrants who had lived in the U.S. for years, paid taxes, and had no criminal record.
Joe Lieberman was one of the strongest congressional supporters of Israel and consistently advocated for robust U.S. funding and military support for the country.
Lieberman to the end was a pro-Israel FIRST, JEW.
Lieberman's final public statement, completed hours before his death in March 2024, was a warning that pro-Israel Jewish voters would no longer automatically support Democrats.

Think about that. Your final moments on the planet and your final thoughts are on another nation, after you served the one who gave you everything.

Jews encapsulated. Gross.

What makes them good though? did he help pass any good policies, vote on anything great
or was he just not a far left fraudster? That would certain put him better company compared to today

I see you can't think of any good Democrats. Right now, none is what I see.

I think that's it.

He didn't fit in with the Bawney Fwank types.

Lieberman was a Jew. That to me means little. He spent his life trying to be a good American citizen. I never voted for him. But I never will vote for any Democrat. His or her religion means nothing to me as a government service. I bear no ill will to Israel.
