This fatal Huaiyangshan virus (SFTSV) is related to Heartland virus from Missouri and Tennessee, the latter case being fatal. But the first of these was found in 2005 at Nagasaki. Wuhan Institute of Virology knows these things, so does Fau Chi. There are no vaccines, so very likely research was being done at Wuhan because they infect both humans and animals.
