Sports teams are big business.
Yes, they are. I'm wondering how many people in the back office are white. All the owners are white. Oh, wait, I think Michael Jordan owned the Washington Wizards for about a minute.
Racial and/or gender diversity has nothing to do with an engineer designing a bridge.
I agree. Neither does Nepotism. Right now, I'm dealing with a pain in the ass Nepo-baby who only has the job because his dad owns the company. I'm constantly having to double and triple-check his work before I purchase. A couple other of the Boss' white buddies who are "Application engineers" are fond of handing me incomplete work. So, in addition to doing purchasing, I'm having to do quality assurance and engineering work. (Which I'm not qualified to do.)
Now, if only we had Joe Biden's economy of the Great Resignation, where I could just walk away from this shit.
No, nobody cares about the sports analogy. If you want to go there, the reality is, because we were such an awful racist country, we had "Negro Leagues" because white people didn't want to compete against black people. Then Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier.Back to the sports analogy,
