President Trump, Vice President Vance, Secretary Noem and most MAGAs on this site are saying the ICE agent was "hit" or "run over".

This is easily the clearest view of the positioning of the vehicle and the shooter. At :09, she puts the vehicle in drive, you can see the tires turning to the right, and the shooting begins.

Now that the FBI has swallowed the case, I'll just assume we'll never have the full story.

The whole story is ugly, and I have a different set of problems with what the two women were doing. This kind of behavior is indeed dangerous on their part, and activists (regardless of the ideology) are often part of the problem. The actions of ICE in the aftermath were also bad.

My interest in this zeroes in specifically on the reactions of Trump, Vance and Noem, and the way MAGA has simply run with what are clearly lies. They really do seem to believe the story that the shooter was hit by the vehicle. I don't think they're lying. And that's what really concerns me.

How does a country maintain itself when we can look at a clear video, and literally see two such drastically different things?

Well Mac, this is the EXACT same thing they did on and after the January 6th storming of the U.S. Capitol. I remember the first time someone said to me that what I was relaying didn't happen, I wondered out loud if they 1) have a T.V., 2) if not a T.V., know how to access a news channel on the internet, and if so 3) were they watching and the seeing the same things I was. That was the first time I ever saw this manifestation in real life but think about how they've added a page to the White House's website in which they reframe the events of that day to say:
