but in contract terms, he and Kim signed a "letter of intent." It doesn't obligate either party do anything, or receive anything. But it does set out the parameters of what a deal may be. That is, if Kim removes all nuclear weapons, the US will "normalize" relations, whatever that is - presumably stop economic sanctions even if Korea continues to sell weapons to terror list nations? and possibly pull out our troops?
An actual agreement requires a timeline, specific "duties" of each party, and detail consequences if either party doesn't live up to the agreement.
It's a good start, and it beats name calling and threats of blowing each other up.
We shouldn't bash Trump for stopping saying bad stuff, although perhaps he shouldn't do a bromance with a mass murdering dictator, but at the same time, the Trumpots might want to stop hailing him as their conquering hero Caesar
