This is not a big surprise

I'm feeling pretty good about the midterms...

Great advice in this article, my bet is that it won't be followed

Attacking Trump is now a losing strategy in BOTH parties -- That's the real takeaway from Tuesday's primaries

quote:
Tuesday’s primaries in Virginia, North Dakota, Nevada, South Carolina, and Maine indicated that in many congressional races, vehemently attacking President Trump will not be a winning strategy for either Democrats or Republicans in the Nov. 6 general election.

As we’ve seen in earlier primaries this year, it was clear Tuesday that while strongly resisting President Trump is certainly damaging to Democrats, doing so is nothing short of catastrophic for Republicans. GOP voters in several races showed once again that they are rejecting lawmakers who decisively break with the president.

Instead of building their campaigns on being anti-Trump, candidates in both parties would be wise to develop compelling moderate policy alternatives and a unifying message that can appeal to centrist and independent voters.

Someone said - quite accurately - that he's already jammed two presidential terms of clear accomplishments into 18 months. He is far more respected here and abroad than idiot media would have you believe.

The Republican establishment needs to realize that many of their traditional positions on both domestic and foreign policy are no longer viable, or never were. Status quo is not acceptable, and Democrats in Republican masks need to be weeded out.

The Democratic Party is no longer an American institution, but is now based in Euro-Democratic Socialism. They are useless to this country, and cause chaos wherever they go.

Oddly enough, they are quite analogous to Star Trek's Borg. There is no greater example of hive-mind outside of totalitarian societies.

You have to scratch your head when you see incoherent democrats whine about the support for the President among republican candidates. I guess they were hoping for a new strategy.
