If parents resisted put their kids in reeducation orphanage/camps like we did with teh Native Americans and Cajuns. That's how we assimilated some of these groups and why they're now gone. We didn't kill em all. They just were often forcefully assimlated, state taking children and sending them off to learn WASP diction and culture.

But considering I wouldn't want to put my name on that, black america definitely doesn't want that, and white America probably isn't prepared to do it in 2020 either....I have no real solution

As to the right to assemble in protest..if that is the motive...then i support it--however, I feel that more than a few of these demonstrations are NOT protests..but rather deliberate provocations. Some..again on both sides....want confrontation and violence..and that..is not legitimate constitutionally protected free speech and protest. The concept of counter-protests is great...but when the two groups run head on into each other..that is recipe for disaster...

The problem with the above should be quite obvious. Who gets to decide whether they are dealing with Constitutionally protected assembly, or "provocation"? And doesn't giving the authorities the power to decide that strike you as inherently dangerous to the First Amendment? Also, remember tea ending up floating in a harbor somewhere? So, protests are inherently linked to some things ending up broken, provocative as that is - and meant to be. Yes, it shouldn't happen, but it does. The balancing act of protecting competing Constitutionally protected rights (including property rights) is a good deal more complicated than it appears, and certainly more complicated than the law-and-order nitwits make it appear. And that leaves unresolved the question as to whether there were rightarded provocateurs attempting to discredit BLM protests by creating or instigating mayhem during these protests, further complicating things.

As to counter-protests, that's merely a question of a sufficient number of competent, well-trained police forces showing up, keeping the groups apart while guaranteeing each group's right to protest. That can be done in every well-ordered society.

Finally, murdering protesters (no matter how provocative) is unacceptable. It doesn't become any more acceptable because they didn't "think it through", and certainly the right to assembly should remain protected regardless.
