Paramount Agrees to pay Trump $16 million in CBS 60 Minutes lawsuit

Trump lied about it and you seemed to agree with his lie, claiming they switched answers and questions. Why does he need to lie?

Who says they don’t do that for Trump?

The report from the new york post said they edited her answers to shorten them. My guess is because they wanted to not air her rambling.

I dont care about editing for time, but when you are editing to change the person's image, thats an issue. You'd all be up in arms over it if they did it for trump
They edited for time with Kamala.

"Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region. And we're not going to stop doing that. We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end."

This is Kamala's answer.

This is what they put on CBS

"We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end."

As you can see they just put the last sentence. They didn't do anything other than cutting the first part. That's "editing for time" which, apparently, you don't care about.

Trump lies all the time, people have stopped even pointing it out because his supporters don't care.

All of a sudden you lot care about people not saying thing EXACTLY how they appeared.

It's hilarious. Or would be if it weren't so serious.

That was the original claim. In the recent release of the unedited interview, it certainly shows they cut and spliced her answers to remove all the word salads.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to the same thing. They edited her interview to make her appear more coherent.

It Seems Fox News Edited Trump Interview to Help Him Sound Normal.

Jun 3, 2024 — On Sunday, an interview with Donald Trump aired on Fox News, and online commentators saw clear issues on the broadcast that suggest some heavy edits.

The report from the new york post said they edited her answers to shorten them. My guess is because they wanted to not air her rambling.
Your guess is baseless and irrelevant.

Editing interviews for time is normal. This is broadcast TV. Not YouTube. Their editing decisions are protected by the first amendment.

Yeah, they cut out 75% of her answer so it wouldn't be a word salad.

Again, if they did that for trump you'd be on the other side of this argument.

your opinion is just as irrelevant. This was a race for the presidency, you dont cut their answers. They edited them to make her nkt look so word salad-y

Of course they edit answers. Thats what editing does. They cut down the interview so it fits in their broadcast slow.

oh...paramount agreed did they?? LIke they HAD a choice??LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

You seemed to be okay with it, but then it's against Trump, so you seem to be for it.

How can anyone have a conversation with another when it's "whatever the **** Trump does is great, whatever his opponent does is bad"???

Im sure you want to believe that, one question they edited her response from 176 words down to 20 words. So they cut out 90% of her answer for time sake?

No, they didnt want her to look bad by her words responses. Who at the station gets to decide which words they want to cut, was harris made aware?

Where did you see me excuse trump? I said earlier, if they edited it for Trump, then harris needs to file a lawsuit. Im being completely fair here. If they did that for Trump, to make him look better than he actuallt was, that so is wrong.

Perhaps because Harris isn't an infantile moron.... so she doesn't think it's actually the right thing to do to try and take every case of "you didn't air everything that was said"... Or perhaps she knows she wouldn't actually win the case.

Look, Trump would have LOST that case, had it gone to court. Trump only "won" because he threatened Paramount with problems during their merger.

A 50 minute interview needed to be collapsed into a 20 minute segment. Seems as good of a place as any to make a cut.

60 minutes has producers, editors and journalists who make these decisions every week with every show because every interview is edited in some way.

Obviously.
