Paramount Agrees to pay Trump $16 million in CBS 60 Minutes lawsuit

Oh god, so many times.

Like this one that failed spectacularly.

Uh, yeah, thats one, and justified too because they used an unverified dossier.

Who says there haven’t been threads about it? right wingers are very good at ignoring anything that doesn’t fit their narrative.

Oh, so you all have complained about it?

Clearly it wasn’t justified since he lost the case and had to pay everyone’s legal fees. You don’t understand the first amendment.

Fox New’s right wing slant is well know and expected. I’d never try to use the legal system to after their freedom to do so. I’ll criticize them, but that’s how you respond to speech you don’t like.

Not with corrupt legal maneuvers and using government to attack them.

Is what they did not slanderous?

Of course, a London judge threw out the case because he beleive it was bound to fail. How convenient. Don't even let the trial proceed, just throw it out lol

It was an idiotic lawsuit with no basis.

He couldn’t even show that Steele had defamed him as Steele didn’t say anything about Trump.

It’s an abuse of the courts. Not that there were any repercussions as Habba, one of the abusers, now had a comfy government job.

True, the lawsuit should have been against Hillary but oh well.

As far as abuse of the courts, we saw plenty of that with the E Jean Carroll trial..among others

It was against Hillary et al and it was also dismissed with a pretty scathing decision that ripped Habba apart.

It’s fun educating some of you guys about how pathetic Trump is.

You're not educating me lol, I already know the game democrats play, you let the cat out of the bag in 2015, and everything since then has just been one vindictive move after another.

If I’m not educating you, it’s because you’re so closed minded that you’re impossible to educate.

Which very likely is true.

You didn’t even know Trump had sued Clinton.

Trump is very opposed to the first amendment protections for the people he does not like.

Yes. 52 US Code 20511 is a good start.
It appears you may have edited your post to add this later.

In any event, can you explain how this law applies to what CBS did in this case?

Here’s an example of Fox News helping Trump through editing.
