Paramount Agrees to pay Trump $16 million in CBS 60 Minutes lawsuit

Editing interviews for time is normal.
That wasn't why. In fact they have now agreed to publish transcripts of edited interviews. Edited to protect the last great hope after the Biden soft coup.

Because Trump is an authoritarian who can use government to adversely affect their operations.
Ain't it great?

WINNING
60 minutes has producers, editors and journalists who make these decisions every week with every show because every interview is edited in some way.
Especially when their candidate is shitting the bed during an interview.............. :21:

Paramount settled the case.
If they really gave a shit about freedom of speech they wouldn't have, but they know they altered footage and had nothing to stand on.
They just want to end the publicity.

They proved that Democrats are morons and losers. A pathetic collective of stupid motherfuckers. A $5 whore of Idiocracy.

It’s literally the thing you’re celebrating. Are you celebrating a hallucination?
Not celebrating anything...... could give a shit.

Looks like another one your trusted news sources has been called on the carpet for lies.

All I can say is 'told you so'.

"WINNING" is celebratory. Obviously.

You're celebrating Trump's authoritarian victory.

It isn't a victory.

The arbitrators reccomended a settlement that was 1/100o of what Trump demanded.

It was cheaper to pay the go away money.

Of course, the same people who sat in silence when Fox admitted that it lies to them as a matter of policy and forked over three quarters of a billion dollars for slander are cheering and stomping their feet over this pyrric "victory"

HAL calls boosheet....

AI Overview

A mediator has proposed a $20 million settlement in Donald Trump's lawsuit against CBS News and Paramount Global
. Trump's team had previously sought a settlement of $25 million or more, along with an apology from CBS. This means the proposed settlement is close to what Trump demanded, and not a small fraction (1/1000) of it.

Perhaps because Harris isn't an infantile moron.... so she doesn't think it's actually the right thing to do to try and take every case of "you didn't air everything that was said"...

Remind me again who has been the litigation party over the last 10 years?

Or perhaps she knows she wouldn't actually win the case.

Look, Trump would have LOST that case, had it gone to court. Trump only "won" because he threatened Paramount with problems during their merger.

Again, if the roles had been reversed, you all would be complaining that trump got an in kind donation from the network.

A 50 minute interview needed to be collapsed into a 20 minute segment. Seems as good of a place as any to make a cut.

60 minutes has producers, editors and journalists who make these decisions every week with every show because every interview is edited in some way.

Obviously.

Ok, well just disagree here. We'll be waiting til the time comes when they "help" trump out, and we can watch you all be on the other side of this.

Has anyone filed more lawsuits than Trump? He filed dozens in the 2020 election alone.

Who says it hasn’t been reversed? Fox News edits interviews with Trump.

How many times has he sued his political opponent?

Obviously not, otherwise there would be threads about it

How many times has he sued his political opponent?
Oh god, so many times.

Like this one that failed spectacularly.

Obviously not, otherwise there would be threads about it
Who says there haven’t been threads about it? right wingers are very good at ignoring anything that doesn’t fit their narrative.
