I understand spelling errors, but for many making fun of Jews over many years (in my experience), Joos has a derogatory connotation.

I have never seen it anywhere but in posts here and I don't see it as anything in particular as bad. If someone made fun of Muslims and called them "mu-slimes" I would see that as offensive bacause it associates the proper word with an improper one to attack. But "Joos"? I always thought it was goofy, used more to make fun of people who try to offend Jews. I have never heard of any derogatory connotation associated with it. If such exists elsewhere then, well, I have learned something new. But the word means nothng bad to me.
