Orthodox Jews and Zionism

When I posted my list of Jewish individuals, organizations, and publications who have opposed Zionism, several people responded that Orthodox Jews were not opposed to Zionism per se, but only to Israel's secular existence.

I was fairly sure that some at least were definitively anti-Zionist. So, you know me, I went to You Tube to hear it from orthodox Jews themselves.

There are differences among individuals and groups here, but there are definitely some seriously anti-Zionist orthodox Jews, and lots of them, make no mistake.
And it doesn't sound like they are having it any easier in Israel than the Palestinians are, actually:

I was fairly sure that some at least were definitively anti-Zionist. So, you know me, I went to You Tube to hear it from orthodox Jews themselves.

There are differences among individuals and groups here, but there are definitely some seriously anti-Zionist orthodox Jews, and lots of them, make no mistake.
And it doesn't sound like they are having it any easier than Palestinians are in Israel:

Why not find out for us why this particular group is so popular on the NeoNazi/Islamofacist hate sites? When you get some answer, can you get back to us. There have been in the past many Jewish posters who actually are living in Brooklyn who could tell you that this group is a bunch of phonys and that thankfully their number is very small. My former fiance, the one who spoke Yiddish? He was from Brooklyn. Canarsie to be specific. So I spent a bit of time in the Jewish community there, long enough to be able to tell you they don't all think with the same brain either. My fiancé and his family were anti-Zionist. Others weren't.

Are Calvinists Baptists? I have a friend born in upstate New York with whom I used to work years ago. She always was a Baptist, and is now attending a Baptist church in Virginian who is all for Israel. She is a good woman belonging to many groups who try to help people such as Pilots for Christ who do good work in Mexico. She would be aghast at someone like you who apparently hates Israel.

Baptists aren't a denomination. There is no overarching organization, there is no clergy, there is no set doctrine, etc. It is a form of religious practice, not a denomination. The fundamental principal of being a baptist is no organizational structure between man and God.

the classic Calvinist denomination would be Presbyterian, but they are not baptist in practice by any means. Old school baptists were Calvinist.

My friend would not be interested in all your blabbering. She would laugh at you and think you are nuts.
