Same thing happened with DACA. Trump thought he could just waive his arms and it would be gone. Supreme Court smacked him down while noting it could be overturned but it would have to be done in a proper manner. Trump wasn't interested.

The system has worked fine since the nation's founding. Having more citizens is better than having fewer because you increase the talent pool, the tax base, the storehouse of knowledge, etc... All one has to do is look at the OP--a guy who sounds like he flunked finger painting yet claims to have gone to graduate school--to see how much poorer we would be as a nation if we gave lowlifes like it more voice than they deserve. I urge you to pity the OP....he's pretty much the bottom of the barrel.

That the court took up the case is proof that there is a movement afoot to get rid of birthright citizenship.

The Democratic party being essentially all or nothing will likely botch what should be an easy win in 2028. If they do win, none of the aging liberals on the court will do the patriotic thing and resign so we can have a liberal base that can last 30-40 years and hopefully grow it in future appointments.

Start the clock on how long birthright citizenship will be around. It's not going to be too much longer before it's gone. And with it's passing, another nail in the coffin of a once great America will be driven.
