She was embarrassed and laughed off the air when it showed he paid several million dollars in taxes that year. They never llooked at it before the show to see they had a nothing burger with extra cheese!

Everyone pays taxes....we have so many different taxes my head spins trying to keep up...

Income taxes- state and federal, sales taxes, corporate taxes of which consumers pay, tariff duties, of which consumers pay, excise taxes, cigarette taxes state and federal, gasoline taxes state and federal, payroll taxes- social security and medicare taxes, property taxes, licencing fees...driver's, hunting, fishing, utility taxes, alcohol taxes...

No one, and I mean no one....goes through life in America, without paying several forms of taxes... No way around it!

Well, you can go to a state that doesn't jack up taxes so you have to get 3 jobs to pay for them.

Here in TN the taxes are pretty low. We have a sales tax, but at least we don't have an income tax that's 3 times the federal income tax, like in CA.

Obviously, seniors who have paid income tax for 40 years prior to their retirement have more than paid their dues, and they would be exempt.

Seniors who have been on welfare, Medicaid, food stamps, etc., and never worked enough to pay income tax would remain ineligible to vote.

(I myself just paid almost $20,000 in income tax for 2024, so please don’t assume all seniors don’t continue to pay in.)
