When it comes to tax, tax is not just income tax, the thread is laughable. Look at Musk, never takes a salary so no income tax, but he's paid billions in tax. If you take every American USMB member here and accumulate all the tax they've paid in their lives, Musk will have still paid more than that, but some think he should lose his Right to vote based on one tax

I obviously meant Tax based on earning. Offering one’s service to a community is a mindset that is positive….. while taking from a society labeled as “racist” (aka evil) promotes not only a lack of service but a negative taking from society. You go buy gas, you're paying taxes. In some areas, you buy food, you're paying taxes. You pay utility bills, you're paying taxes. Homeowners pay taxes. Vehicle registration, you guessed it - taxes! The list goes on and on.

Every person who buys something is a taxpayer -> sales tax.

Every person who pays a utility, phone, tv/internet bill pays a tax.

Own a home? You're a property taxpayer.

Pay rent? Part of that goes to property taxes.

We're all taxpayers to some degree. I believe a person's right to vote should be based on his or her citizenship. Legal citizens should have the right to vote, non-citizens should not. Unless you are convicted of a crime wherein you lost that right, according to the law. That is as it should be.
