One year after the tariffs were implemented where are we? Did it achieve any of its objectives?

The answer is no. Even before the Supreme Court rightly ruled Trump doesn't have the authority to do what he did the results were terrible:
  • $5 Billion fewer agriculture exports
  • 90,000 fewer manufacturing jobs
  • 120,000 fewer transportation and warehouse jobs
  • $25B increase in trade deficit
  • $175B in lawsuits pending for Tarif refunds accruing $700M per month in interest
  • Manufacturing Construction is in freefall -14%
So production is down, the jobs are down, exports are down, Trifecta baby!

President Donald Trump’s foreign and economic policies—especially the administration’s chaotic tariffs and incessant tariff threats—have undermined the United States’ relationships abroad, unleashed profound uncertainty on the U.S. economy, and raised prices for consumers and businesses alike. Nearly one year after the ā€œLiberation Dayā€ Rose Garden event, where Trump announced dozens of country-specific tariffs, the damage of the Trump administration’s reckless tariff agenda is abundantly clear. But it is also important to recognize that these actions failed to achieve any of the results they were designed to achieve.

I honestly didn't think a President could surpass the last Sniffer In Chief but it appears that Trump may earn the crown for the worst Epstein Class President in American history.
