Once again conservative policy vindicated and liberal policy PROVEN incompetent

Each week everyone should hold hands in a big circle and sing "Kumbaya", of course.

There are two possible solutions I see and neither have a chance of succeeding in todays political climate. Reversal of a Supreme Court decision or a Constitutional Amendment modifying the 2nd Amendment.

And thank Gd for that.
Yes, the 2A is pretty firmly ensconced against the haters of liberty like yourself. The 1A is too, although the Obama Administratio is doing its darndest. But the 5th is still popular, and I predict will become increasingly so as administration members are frog marched through courts and hearings.

Your accusation is unwarranted, typical and not unexpected, considering the source.
The Second Amendment is a bedrock of liberty in this country. If you are in favor of repealing it or restricting it then you are an enemy of liberty. People in favor of liberty trust citizens to make wise choices, even where some individuals just dont.

BS. The Second Amendment is about the security of the new nation from internal enemies and foreign armies without having a European style standing army.

OK, and that's outdated why?

Which militia did they call out to deal with the Boston Bombers?

Which militia did they call out to deal with the Boston Bombers?

What is your point, Capt Irrelevant?

That a well regulated militia is no longer necessary for the security of our free nation. For all practical purposes it no longer exist, and hasn't for some time.

The mammoth cordon around Watertown and security positions in greater Boston are being manned by Boston police, Massachusetts state police, National Guard troops and officers from other law-enforcement agencies who have been enlisted in the effort.

National Guard is DoD, not the civilian volunteer militia.

Pretty sure every single one of them volunteered for service. Oh, and they're not DoD. National Guard belongs to the state.

How many times do the irregulars get together and train? Do they know how to march? Do they know the basic of battlefield strategy? That's what well regulated means. In reality he is/was just part of a well armed mob.

That really doesn't matter now does it? The SC made the decision that the people have the right to certain arms for protection.......

Here's the thing though BlindBood - the Constitution clearly states "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". It does not say "the right of the well-regulated militia to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".

And that is all that matters.

The SC only recently detached the militia portion from the right of the people portions of the Amendment. They could in the future reverse their decision.

The only other viable option to change the system where every wannabe nutjob can go out buy a gun in the spur of the moment, is by amending the Constitution.

I don't think either option will happen in my lifetime.

What part of the 2nd Amendment don't YOU understand velveetacheese?

The part where Adam Lanza had access to guns without being in a well-regulated militia.

Here's the problem you buffoon velvtacheeze. The Constitution does not say "the right of a well-regulated militia shall not be infringed", it says "the right of the PEOPLE shall not be infringed". You're an idiot desperate to create a false narrative. You lose!

People who are in a well-regulated militia.

It was never attached.

Anybody who speaks and understands ordinary English knows that the mention of a militia, is not a condition on the people's right being protected from infringement, but merely an explanation for why it shall not be infringed.

Naturally, our more rabid liberals have been twisting themselves into pretzel shapes, trying to pretend the 2nd says something else. Aren't they cute when they do that? :D

The Constitution does not say "the right of a well-regulated militia shall not be infringed", it says "the right of the PEOPLE shall not be infringed".

People who are in a well-regulated militia.

See? There goes another one!

You simply have no other line. That indicates a serious lack of thought. Every thread, you bop in with 'hater dupes.' That is repetitive and boring.
