Once again conservative policy vindicated and liberal policy PROVEN incompetent

rEAD THE BOOK LOL...iT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT TERM IN aMERICAN POLITICS- BRAINWASHING LIKE NEVER BEFORE...SEE SIG FOR WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW, AND THE BS THEY DO...- i'LL GO BACK TO pUB DUPES, THE GENERIC TERM...- gd shift key...

You simply have no other line. That indicates a serious lack of thought. Every thread, you bop in with 'hater dupes.' That is repetitive and boring.
Franco=Dreg City...and typical of the left.

What part of the 2nd Amendment don't YOU understand velveetacheese?

The part where Adam Lanza had access to guns without being in a well-regulated militia.

Here's the problem you buffoon @velvtacheeze. The Constitution does not say "the right of a well-regulated militia shall not be infringed", it says "the right of the PEOPLE shall not be infringed". You're an idiot desperate to create a false narrative. You lose!

Precisely. The Second was crafted as a tool by the Founders that the people would have recourse against even their own government...and if Velveetacheese read the Federalists? He would know it...but then, they're DEAD, and don't count in his narrow mind.

Head's up dumbass...THE PEOPLE ARE the militia.

National Guard is DoD, not the civilian volunteer militia.

Pretty sure every single one of them volunteered for service. Oh, and they're not DoD. National Guard belongs to the state.
They get paid, which makes them at least semi-professional, and carry DoD DD2 identification cards.

They are not the civilian volunteer militia.

The WHAT? You clearly don't know what you're talking about, so stop talking.

I've seen the DD2s of Reservists and National Guard members.

It is you who knows not of which you speak, so it is you who should stop talking.

People who are in a well-regulated militia.

If we accept your premise (which is.....problematic, at the very least) then the following people qualify:

1. All able bodied males between 17 - 45 years of age.
2. All military veterans.

Now, we can accept your very restrictive interpretation, and in doing so validate discrimination against women who would not be inherently endowed with a right that is guaranteed to men. Or, we can accept the Supreme Court's interpretation, and treat women equally in terms of constitutional rights. What's your vote?

The Reserves are a federal entity. The National Guard are state entities. Perhaps you missed the part in the constitution where it says that Congress shall provide for the training of the militia.

Congratulations for seeing the ID of service members. Now how about you listen to an owner of one.

THERE NO LONGER IS A STATE MILITIA

False. Absolutely false. Painfully, ridiculously, pathetically false.

Reagan and Scalia agree there are limits to those arms...today it's brainwashed NRA nonsense...

The second amendment does not guarantee an unlimited right. Nobody denies that. But that does not mean that any whimsically chosen limitation is permissible.

Bear in mind too that part of the militia were farmers, shopkeepers, etc...during the revolution...THAT has not changed, AND the Founders expected citizens to defend their liberty.

Understand?

That you own a DD2 isn't the subject, that Reservist and NG members do is the subject.

And they are paid, which makes them, at the very least, part-time professional troops. That they volunteered to be semi-professionals does not meet the criteria of "volunteer" as it is used in the context of the civilian militia.

Reserve and NG are not militia.

Understand?

Of course. The militia has an organized and an unorganized component.

Well, at least we can get an admission, inadvertent as it may have been, that the northern industrial professional army model supplanted the volunteer militia, as referenced in the 2nd Amendment.

We'll take any victory handed to us.
