As you can see from the data you already posted, they've been here for decades by now. This means they've been contributing meaningfully to the economy and are an important component. Eliminate millions of workers and you will necessarily shrink the economy. That's bad for us.

The population of the country has not shrunk, it's been climbing consistently and without immigration our economy would not be growing at the rate it currently is.
