I do think it more than reasonable to appreciate the huge task President Trump and a (narrowly) GOP majority in Congress have in front of them. The deep state is real and deeply entrenched in government as well as media, entertainment, education, scientific organizations, big business, even many religious organizations. It cannot be ferreted out and neutralized either quickly or easily.

But at least we have a chance to start now and we have a President who has been tested and hardened and educated in ways he was not in his first term. He has the courage to make a difference. It remains to be seen if the GOP has learned its lesson and will get behind him to fix what's broken or whether it will continue to be timid and feckless and afraid to make any big waves.

So maybe we are doomed and the long march into Marxist fascism pushed by deep state Democrats cannot or won't be overcome..

But I hope.

That whole incident was Theatre.

I was initially disappointed with Trump's pick of Vance. But over the course of the campaign, I have become more and more impressed with that young man and now understand why he got the nod. He has speaking skills that Trump does not and carries none of the baggage, fair or unfair, that Trump carries. I have high hopes he will continue to win the trust of the American people who still think and we can enjoy at least 12 years of the MAGA vision from this point on.

It could be enough to break the iron grip of the so-called 'legacy' media holds and re-create a free and honorable press.

It could be enough to break the back of a corrupt and anti-American teachers' union and restore public education that is now more indoctrination than education.

It could be enough for a new wave of entertainers that love and respect America and what it was intended to be to regain the majority in Hollywood etc.

It could be enough to expose DEI, authoritarian government, political correctness, Marxism for the evil that they are.

It could be enough to open the eyes of a programmed/brain washed segment of Americans to appreciate the MAGA vision of liberty, choices, options, prosperity for all demographics in a strong, free, secure America in a peaceful world.

That would dissolve the power of the Deep State so that we can all return to being Americans again.
