The US Supreme Court said that whatever the President does, in his role as President, is protected from prosecution. Why? Because the President is being the President. He can be taken down by Congress, not by the Judiciary.

When the VP or the President talk, they're talking as the Presidency, as the government. They don't get freedom of speech. Because they can't be prosecuted for freedom of speech.

If they make statements that are said in PUBLIC, they're doing they're job. Not being individual citizens.

Many of the leading voices on the left can barely finish a sentence without accusing someone on the right of some "ism", it's gotten so old most normal people don't pay any attention to it anymore nor do they care.
