I catch Colbert a few minutes on occasion, plus it pops up on YouTube. It comes on at 10:35 here (an odd time) when I am more likely to be posting here, or heading to bed.

I watch movies instead of wasting my time watching political humor.

FREE SPEECH was placed into the Constitution in order for THE PEOPLE to speak up against government and authority figures WITHOUT the fear of being killed or imprisoned for it.

FREE SPEECH DOES NOT MEAN using it to belittle, harass, threaten, coerce, and call people vile and despicable names to suit your own ego agenda.

FREE SPEECH was granted by the Founding Fathers, so WE THE PEOPLE have a voice in what happens in our country, without fear of reprisals.

FREE SPEECH DOES NOT MEAN you can use it for your own personal agendas by lying to evreybody to get your personal agenas catered to, and abusing the privilege of having an open voice.

That is why they are failing! Ratings now are lower than in the past. They are not funny! It's OMB 24/7/365! Your TDS won't let you see that, because you get what you want when you watch it. Most people don't. Why else would Colbert be fired? He may be the number 1 talk show at his time slot, but his number 1 gets crushed by a cable show. It's OK though, he's got a side gig going. Did you know he voices the ship's computer on the Star Fleet Academy TV series on Paramount +?

Gutfeld's ratings declined for several reasons, not the least of which was most of his guests took jobs in the Trump administration! One of his cohosts, Kat Timpf endured a pregnancy and a diagnosis of breast cancer as she was giving birth and was off the show an extended time also. Gutfeld even took time off for the birth of his own child. Not bad for someone who is sixty years old!

Losing the Biden administration also cut down on their daily material. Now they make jokes of the Democrats like Jazzy Crockett, AOC, Swalwell, Schumer and Nancy. They still had the View providing material but even they took a hiatus. Throughout all that they still beat the stuffing out of the other late night hosts who got fired and suspended. All they had and still have is TDS-fueled Orange Man Bad.

Very aware of the format. Still, he is not competing in the timeslot, with the other two. That is for a reason.

People don't want to stay up to 11pm eastern to see his show so they moved it earlier. I watch Gutfeld at 9pm Central and then I usually go to bed. I am sure there are lots of others like me. I stopped watching the late shows when Leno retired and I could not stand Letterman.

When Gutfeld was in that time slot, he was very competitive and when he moved up, they lost what little audience they had while Gutfeld gained at the 10 PM Eastern time slot. The other shows cannot do that because of local news.
