An "ounce of prevention" would have been letting the Obama arms limitation treaty run. What Trump is currently demanding is that Iran go back to honouring the Agreement he tore up.

An "ounce of prevention" would have been to accept the deal that Iran offered the day before Trump attacked Iran.

An "ounce of prevention" would have been too make a clear plan for this war, and then go to Congress to get authorization to start it.

Obama did not "start a war" with Libya, nor did he start these attacks without the knowledge or consent of your allies. The force included members from NATO, and the Arab League. This wasn't some half baked notion that was done on a whim with no planning or support:

• Preventing a Massacre: Obama stated that intervention was necessary to stop Gaddafi from carrying out mass atrocities against peaceful protesters, particularly in the city of Benghazi.
• International Mandate: The action was backed by UN Security Council Resolution 1973, which authorized "all necessary measures" to protect civilians.
• Regional Stability: Concerns existed that failure to act would lead to a massive refugee crisis and jeopardize democracy movements in nearby Tunisia and Egypt.
• Allied Support: The coalition included key European and Arab partners seeking to halt Gaddafi's brutality.

Additionally, Obama promised the American people that he would be out of Libya in two weeks, and that is exactly what happened. A leading a multi-nation two-week assault to halt civilian deaths, and then handing the whole thing off to NATO.

Trump didn't even tell your allies he was going to bomb Iran, he just did it. While in the middle of negotiations with the Iranians. Then he expected the rest of the world to thank him.

Or maybe he did it to disrupt oil prices worldwide, in order to punish NATO because they won't give him Greenland.
