His lack of courage in answering the packing of the Supreme Court is interesting. We ll see if this hurts Biden.
Biden punted
Yes. Unfortunate. Shows cowardice.

Trump didn’t punt on condemning White Supremacy
He just can’t do it. Looked like he was going to at first, then backed away
He said Proud Boys stand down and Biden said Antifa is an idea?

No. He didn't say ”Proud Boys stand down”.
He did. LoneLoser. Turn up your miracle ear, fatty.
ShortBus, Impeached Trump said, "stand back and stand by." Asked to condemn white supremacists, he instead tells them to stand by.

face-palm-gif.278959
Unfortunately this debate encompassed how divided we are.
How can we not be divided when we have a president who condones white supremacy because it gives him votes?
Can you give us some names of these white supremacy we can condone them.. Or are you just making up imaginary groups
Impeached Trump named one -- then couldn't bring himself to condemn them.
Proud boys is run by a black man
This retard fight is great. Trump said for the Proud Boys to stand down.

It's EXACTLY what happened. The Proud Boys have already adopted the phrase "Stand back and stand by" as their new motto and they're promoting it.
Proud Boys are American patriots.
LOLOL

More rightard dementia ^^^

In reality, they're a hate group.

A lion? Only if the lion is rabid, and lashing out insanely like a maniac. Trump was completely incapable of controlling himself. His face was red and sweaty, and he looked like he was ready to pop a vein.
How would you react if you were running for office and you could tell the election was being rigged against you? Trump has every right to react the way he did.
The election is not being rigged against trump.
So when is Biden cannot allow a Republican moderator??
Love it, just as I thought the fact checkers are coming forward and as I thought , everytime Trump made a point or said anything it was a lie or total distortion, nothing has chnged but they are now telling it as it is , What did you think was going to happen after 22000 lies in less then four years in office. What a hoot.

Already reading that numerous democrats don't want Slow Joe to debate again. Wow! Even his own supporters are telling him to stop.

I told them Biden can't handle an opponent as strong as Trump. Hell Hillary barely stood her ground and she's about as nasty as the Dems have.
Phhhhhheewww....oh boy....

First off, hats off to Wallace. That could not have been an easy job. For those of you who say Wallace is a disgrace...you are entitled to your opinion...but I just dont see it.

I imagine wallace, after he leaves tonight is going to have himself a stiff drink.....or 18....

I did not see where wallace was favoring trump at all. He spent most of the debate trying to shut trump down. Again, that chair was a tough place to be tonight.

Say what you will, but biden did it. He held out for the entire debate and didn't cave. Sure, he had a few moments where he got a bit tongue tied, but at the end of it all, he didn't turn into the nonsensical babbling person people thought he would. For the most part, he stayed on point. Its because of this that I think trumps antics actually helped biden.

Biden, by withstanding trumps onslaught, showed people he has more resolve. I think this is going to play well for biden, not so much for trump.

Trump had a good opportunity here to prove all of his critics wrong. He should have stood up there, and respected biden. He should have respected Wallace, and the rules of the debate. They both should have spoken when it was their turn and respected the other person when it wasn't.

Trump had an opportunity to look presidential, but he didn't do it. He had to be the aggressor and the bully. He had to dominate and try to shut biden down. He could have been the bigger man, and people would have gained respect for him, because he would have shown the country that he could stand there and carry on a debate, calmly, and with reservation.

Again, I think this is not going to play well for trump. Let's hope someone talks to him and gives him some constructive criticism before their next debate.

I think most people have already made up their minds, so, in the long run, this will probably not really hurt trump.
200 million?
Huh?
You say the Slow Joe "did it"... But he claimed 200 million have died from Covid. That statement alone showed his 47 years of doing nothing has destructed his brain. The old man is shot. He had nothing but deflecting fake laughs. President Trump is living in his head now rent free. Let him keep fake laughing while people are dying.
Was biden gaffe free? No, but I think he did a lot better than most people were expecting.

People were claiming he needed breaks because he couldn't handle 90 minutes straight. People were saying he was going to fall apart.

Again, say what you will, he withstood better than most thought he would, and with trump interrupting and trying rattle him the whole time, I think it may have backfired on trump.
He still couldn't handle 90 minutes without diverting the subject or stumbling around. It's like the old man is shot like the puppet democrats wish for. They're already wanting him to back out of the second debate because Trump outpaced him like crazy. It's not interruption when little Wallace agreed that both have interrupted. Nobody gives a fuck about that besides Trump hater. Primarily because you know he ran laps around the Sleepy Joe.
Yes, wallace did agree that both sides interrupted. I'm not disagreeing with that. They both did plenty of interrupting. From what I saw, I agree with wallace though, trump was guilty of it more.

For the record, in not a trump hater. Sure, im not very fond of him, but im no lefty. I just dont go all in for conservatism without trying to be realistic about the issues. Im not perfect for sure. I would rather look at individual situations and be able to make up my mind about them rather than be pigeon holed into collective ideology, and run with the crowd.

Having said that, I just can't agree that trumo ran laps around him, not with the way he was going about it. I'm sure you disagree, but, his methodology was off putting. He should have been the better man, it would have come across much better.
For the record, I can't stand Trump so you can probably guess my opinion
Unless you just like to hear candidates interrupting each other and the moderator and talking over each other for two hours, then you probably found the debate annoying and not very informative. Biden was well prepared and surprising made very few gaffs. He was most effective when speaking to the audience, something Trump should have done. However, Biden said just about what you would expect a seasoned politician to say throughout the debate, no real surprises. All and all, I think he performed better than people expected. I was expecting him to lose it but he stayed on track.

Trump came across as being very annoyed by the whole thing. He mostly ignored the TV audience, which was a mistake. He used his shotgun approach to the questions going completely off topic and making rather heating statements that will drive fact checkers nuts. I think he did well in handling the supreme court segment, dropped the ball badly on Covid, which I think most everyone expected since his actions were indefensible. He came off about as good as Biden on Violence. He sounded pretty good on the economy However, there is no way to describe his rhetoric on election fraud, except just plain crazy. He said so many things that were not true and figments of his imagination that I'm not sure what he said. Trump's attack on Biden son was off topic and was really a low blow even for Trump but expected.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot quickly fired back at Trump after he invoked Chicago’s gun violence to criticize Dems, tweeting: “Keep ‘Chicago’ out of your lying mouth.” ⠀

I think Trump’s strategy was to be overly aggressive to try to rattle Joe Biden. I don’t think it worked.

If it had worked, you would have heard all the dementia talk. But that wasn’t the case at all. He looked fine. I think it backfired. It made Trump look like a jackass and Biden looked relatively cool under the pressure.

Trump also kept trying to peg Biden with far-left labels. Green New Deal, defunding the police, Antifa, socialism. Maybe he was trying to get Biden to denounce them to lose his far left supporters. I think Biden fumbled on the Antifa question but the rest was handled decently. Biden isn’t that left. Maybe Trump thought he was talking to Bernie Sanders.

Of course maybe I’m assuming too much and Trump didn’t actually have a plan.

That debate was a shit show largely because Trump refused to stay quiet and abide by the rules. However, Chris Wallace was a disappointment as well.
Trump was an unhinged animal. I am glad he is on our side.
He went in to crush the Democrat leader. He done good
He may have just crushed his chance for re-election

Not a good look for a President

You are a fucking moron.

Trump is a masterbaiter - but Biden held his own. Biden clearly won the night.

Unfortunately, this tactic that trump is taking, I don't think, is going to play well for him. He is acting like a bully and trying to monopolize the time. He needs to at least let biden answer and stop interrupting constantly.

He's even arguing with the moderator.

I think a president needs to act presidential. There needs to be decorum if you hold the office. I dont mean you need to bend on policy, but how you conduct yourself must be in accordance with the office of the president.
Biden was fed the question and giving scripted answers. Trump is getting him off script...which is good.
If we have proof of that, I'm all ears...err eyes?

Anyway...

We dont know, and will never know if biden was fed the questions and giving scripted answers. That will always be a conspiracy that will never have an answer. So, let's just deal with what we DO know.

I figured trump was trying to keep biden rattled, i just don't think biden caved enough for it to have made trump look good. It came off looking like Trump was the antagonist bully picking on biden. It also made biden look better because he was able to stand up to trump...at least better than most expected.

Again, my issue is not with trumps defending himself, my issue is that the president of the United States got on national television and acted in an undignified manner.

HAd Trump waited another 2-4 seconds on about 5 different occasions Biden would have expolded and deystroyed himself... Trump needs to use a little more patience. Biden was stumbeling on several occasions and had he let him speak it would have collapsed.

Stand down and stand back
LOL

It's like you rightards live in an alternate universe where you make up your own alternative facts.

No moron, he said, "stand back and stand by." And immediately after telling thd Proud Boys to "stand by," he says, "but I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what, somebody's got to do something about Antifa and the left." So rather than condemn white supremacists, he gives them the green light to "do something" about the left. He's a sick fuck who supports white supremacy.

Not what happened. If you’re just going to stick to ad Hominems pick a different user to troll. Thanks.

ShortBus, I posted that with a link to the video of him saying everything I quoted him saying. You denying reality doesn't mean he didn't refuse to condemn white supremacists; it just means you're a fucking nut. :cuckoo:

Just as I figured you cannot be civil. Enjoy your echo chamber.

Why should people be civil with someone who's denying what is shown on video? If you're gonna blatantly lie like that, you should expect incivility.

I watched it live and you have never been civil. You’re the epitome of what is wrong with America. Just come out of the closet and stop being so miserable.

LOL

You're fucked in the head if you think watching it live is any different than the video I posted. :cuckoo:

"Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what, somebody's got to do something about Antifa and the left."

And no, ShortBus, he didn't say anything differently when it appeared live.

And now the Proud Boys are calling that quote, "marching orders."

He said Antifa is an idea and to send shrinks with police officers on calls. He is nuts.

THANK YOU I mean WTF and where was Wallace follow up on that??? Thug is shooting up a neighborhood and Biden wants to send in a social worker the guy is disconnected from reality.

No, it is YOU who are disconnected from reality. The social worker/psychiatrist is to accompany officers on family disturbance and mental health calls. So that when the police get there and the naked guy is running around and screaming, the police don't kill him because he won't calm down.

This week, two cities paid out $32 million for the wrongful deaths of Breonna Taylor and William Green. Green was shot 6 times in the head by police as he sat with his hands cuffed behind his back, in the front seat of the police cruiser. His family received $20 million and the cop has been charged with 2nd degree murder.

Taxpayers are tired of having to pay out tax dollars which should be going to schools, and roads, and city services, going to yet another grieving black family, who was wantonly killed in police custody. Joe Arpaio was voted out as Sheriff because the citizens of Maricopa County paid $20 million out of their own pockets, to the victims of Arpaio's attacks on Hispanics.

1500 Americans died at the hands of the police, or while in police custody, last year. It's not just the anger, the rioting and the looting, it's the $300 million American taxpayers paid out to the victims of police brutality. That comes directly out of the pockets of every home owner in the city/county/community.
Please stop interfering in our elections.

You first.
I am an American from Boston. You’re a dirty Canuck hag. Please stop interfering in our elections

You may very well be an American from Boston, but you are not a 30 something married father and small business owner, unless your small business involves posting 40 messages a day on a message board. And your lack of business knowledge undermines your assertion that you're a "management consultant".

Americans have been interfering our elections for years. Trump even promoted Andrew Scheer before our last election. Scheer is currently out as Conservative Leader, and under investigation by the RCMP for lavish living on the Conservative Party's dime. Well, not dime. $900,000 actually.

You stay out of our elections we stay out of yours. What did you think I was saying?
