What a disgrace that is. $1.8 billion for nothing. America is probably the most liberal country in the world. That’s why African refugees and immigrants want to come here more than any other country.



That money could’ve been used to end homelessness in this country

To end most homelessness you would have to get them to kick the drugs and/or alcohol addictions first. Then get them productively employed.
The rest of the "homelessness" problem has to do with bureaucratic regulations, fees, permits, etc. amounting to at least 25% of housing (own and/or rent) costs, along with restrictive zoning.
