Obama To Americans: Socialism is the answer

Public schools that givesthe poor child a chance = socialism
Tax payer paid infrastructure and roads = socialism
Tax payer paid police and fire = socialism
unemployment = socialism
SSI and SSD = socialism
military and common defense = socialism

The idea of a public sector = socialism

You conservatives are purest morons that want something that would collapse this country.

Yep, get rid of all that. Notice that all the things you listed are the worst parts of our economy. They would all be run far more efficiently if they were privatized. Of course, SSI, SSD and unemployment are nothing but pure robbery.

Socialist ideals help the middle class prosper. Who's going to pay for the streetlights?

oh brother...please

then they should be putting to work those on welfare digging ditches, cleaning parks, etc to advance them into middle class, right?

Then the high school drop outs who attend Republican meetings and rallies and make 80K/year doing those jobs will become Democrats.

Ad hominem...I win.

You thought my post was a joke?
Come to Nassau County.
And if you think this isn't true of both parties, I know a few lawyers who campaign across the US and they say it's the same all over.
Yep, Republican high school drop out Grounds Keeper...80K/year.

Not surprising that socialism is the endgame. Anyone paying attention already knew that. The plan was to fuck things up bad, then claim that going full socialism is the only way to fix it. Enough people have been turned from independent to desperate that, for many, jumping on the welfare wagon sounds good or at least the only choice. Last resort for some, but dire circumstances bring about more poverty and hopelessness.

I guess no one is too concerned with what the future holds. No worries about running out of other people's money or completely destroying the country. We are speeding down a dead end road and we know what is at the end. Anyone with even a basic knowledge of history knows that disaster lies ahead.

Meanwhile, Obama refuses to repeal one of the biggest causes of unemployment. Why on earth haven't those 7 million people begging for health insurance signed up for Obamacare? One million, and that might be an inflated count, have signed up. Wouldn't you think ten times that many would have rushed to the site considering that they were supposedly the reason the Dems passed that shit?

More people are uninsured now than before, yet the administration won't budge and allow others the same exemption that he and his ilk have. That's how it is with tyrants. They would never reduce themselves to following their own laws. Obama is determined to tell us what to do as he fundamentally changes the country. He's gone far to tear it down and now he wants it rebuilt to become his idea of perfection. His dream is our nightmare. He wants no part of his own laws that he claims are good for everyone, but him.

Fuck him and the idiots who support this oppressive form of government.

Forget Obama's speeches. Obama (and Clinton before him) serves and defends the same side you republican posters do. Big corporations and multibillionaires. Unless you think Obamacare is socialism which I don't. If he's a socialist then name some socialists or even liberals that he has named to positions of power. You can't. The endgame you say is to screw things up so then he can push socialism through? He had a short time to push through single payer, he never attempted it. He could have easily ended the bush tax cuts. Didn't do it. He and Reid could have got together and ended repubs filibustering and pushed through all kinds of socialist program before the republicans took over congress in 2010? Why didn't they?

Most socialist countries are doing very well and the standard of living is higher than it is here. People actually like having a steady job, medical insurance, paid vacations and even paid maternity/paternity leave. No one forced this form of government down their throats. People actually like it.

It's only here that the rich have brainwashed the gullible into voting against their own best interest.

Social democracies are what Europe and most of the first world have. ;) They have strong public and private sectors...In fact production is mostly centered within the private sector.

This system has shown to work the best....Hybrid.

What you conservative are talking are states that centralize the means of productions within the control of government. These are Marxist centralized states.

A pure capitalist system looks kind of like the late 19th century. Didn't work out to fucking well didn't it?

Seriously?? There are people who waited 6 years for a speech in Kansas City to figure out Obama is a Marxist? I mean really???

Public schools = socialism
Paving the street that you pay with your taxes = socialism
Regulating businesses in order to keep the business fair = socialism

Some level of socialism is needed.

Correct, that's all socialism. Get rid of it.

No it hasn't. The social democracies of Europe are all bankrupt. They're all swirling around the debt toilet bowl. Their economies are stagnant.

Yes, it did work out well. The capitalist economies of the 19th century grew by leaps and bounds. They made the wealth you enjoy today possible.

Wow, that guy tried to paint Jefferson as an Objectivist? Must be some strong Kool-Aid they are drinking :lmao:

"We of the United States, you know, are constitutionally and conscientiously democrats. We consider society as one of the natural wants with which man has been created; that he has been endowed with faculties and qualities to effect its satisfaction by concurrence of others having the same want; that when, by the exercise of these faculties, he has procured a state of society, it is one of his acquisitions which he has a right to regulate and control, jointly indeed with all those who have concurred in the procurement, whom he cannot exclude from its use or direction more than they him."
-- Thomas Jefferson; letter to P. S. Dupont de Nemours (April 24, 1816)

"Self-interest, or rather self-love, or egoism, has been more plausibly substituted as the basis of morality. But I consider our relations with others as constituting the boundaries of morality. With ourselves we stand on the ground of identity, not of relation, which last, requiring two subjects, excludes self-love confined to a single one. To ourselves, in strict language, we can owe no duties, obligation requiring also two parties. Self-love, therefore, is no part of morality. Indeed it is exactly its counterpart. It is the sole antagonist of virtue, leading us constantly by our propensities to self-gratification in violation of our moral duties to others."
-- Thomas Jefferson; from letter to Thomas Law (June 13, 1814)

"legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property, only taking care to let their subdivisions go hand in hand with the natural affections of the human mind. The descent of property of every kind therefore to all the children, or to all the brothers and sisters, or other relations in equal degree is a politic measure, and a practicable one. Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise"
-- Thomas Jefferson; from letter to James Madison, (Oct. 28, 1785)
