1) The Government did not know that these terrorist attacks were going to happen, proving all their liberty destroying policies don't work.

2) The Government did know this terrorist attack was going to happen, and decided to allow it to proceed, in order to take away more liberties.

Cops in Detroit, NY and LA......they KNOW a violent crime will occur this week. They KNOW for sure it will, in their city. When? Where? By who? Why? That they dont know.

So....should we slash funding for their PD's since they cant predict the crime's exact location, time and suspect? Or, should we maintain it, so they can try their best to respond and prevent crime?

Thats basically what you are saying. That law enforcement should be able to predict crime to the point that they stop every crime, or otherwise it is a waste of money.

What I'm saying is that the Boston Bombing Massacre better not be used as an excuse to take away more of our liberties.

Because:

1) If the Government didn't know this was going to happen, with all their Patriot Act, NDAA, DHS Gestapo, IRS e-mail hacking, etc; then it proves their civil liberty devouring programs don't work.

2) If the Government did know, well fuck, why would we give them more control over us?


So take your choice, of either 1 or 2, they both lead to the same conclusion, that we should not trade more of our liberty for security.
