NYC was already fairly close to being Chicago. Now the voters have voted in favor of their own demise. It's unlikely that Republicans will win it in November. However, a bright spot is the state as a whole is turning more and more red. The last poll I saw for the governorship had Hochul only ahead by 4 points in a matchup with the assumed Republican challenger, which is in the margin of error.

• A former state governor, caught up in scandal first for his letting thousands of seniors die in nursing homes of Covid, then among other corruption charges, was hit with a sex scandal a while back.
• A Muslim socialist who promises "free stuff" that he will simply pay for by raising New Yorker's taxes even higher.

And despite the fact that NEITHER candidate got the majority of the vote, NYS will insure that one of these people be thrust upon the citizens there because they used ranked choice voting to 'weight' the votes.

Now the Muslim goes up against Adams the incumbent because he ran as an independent.

Ranked-choice voting means "keep counting votes until the progressive socialist wins."

I live in Kansas, and if there is ANY example that can be used to illustrate the fallacy of the Republican ideology, it is our state. We went through what was called the Kansas Experiment. It began in 2012 after Sam Brownback was elected governor with a large Republican majority in both houses of the legislature. He signed a bill that created a huge across-the-board tax cut. These reductions were implemented with the assertion that they would enhance the Kansas economy; however, the actual outcome was contrary to expectations. The state raised less revenue, which affected essential services that were required by our state constitution. This affected services such as education and infrastructure repair. The state's bond rating was reduced. Some state employees renamed the state Brownbackistan. The result was so bad that Republicans in the state legislature voted for a tax increase to recover from the losses. Brownback's insistence on maintaining this policy made it so that state Republican leaders ended up endorsing a Democrat for Governor. Democratic Governor Laura Kelly has served 2 terms in office, working to clean up the mess a Republican created.

MAGATS can't govern, all they can do is run their mouths.
