Ghosts of Former Soviet Union Leaders Grin As Mamdani's $30M NYC Communist Grocery Store Unveiled

Walmart is free market not government controlled

Government controlled? No.

Government subsidized? Yes.

Are large number of jobs at WalMart are low paying jobs meaning taxpayers are subsidizing operations through programs such as SNAP, health care, and housing. Let alone the tax breaks WalMart gets billions through government support for employees and state/local subsidies from state and local government.

So some people now have a problem with the WalMart model.

WW
Walmart is privately owned - and competition among private industry is a positive.

It’s a negative when government comes in, doesn’t have to pay tax, doesn’t have to pay rent, and drives out competitors due to unfair advantage.

You leftists really don’t understand why socialism fails, do you?

And how much does Walmart CONTRIBUTE to tax revenues by paying tax on its profit and employing hundreds of thousands of people?

We were told by our political leaders decades ago that the manufacturing industrial economy was barbaric and not evolved and we were entering the service economy era, and everyone will be wealthier. How did that workout? And privileged employment is part of that. Massive Government work as an example.

This Americans for Tax Fairness is a left-wing organization. Their action fund is tied to the Action Network. This is from their "About Us" section.

Since launching in 2012, Action Network tools have helped the Women’s March mobilize huge rallies across the globe, helped the DNC raised millions for candidates and organizations, and much more. The Action Builder toolset, launched in 2019, helps dozens of unions and progressive organizations empower leaders and build strong organizing campaigns.

Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF) is related to but should not be confused with Americans for Tax Fairness Action Fund (ATFAF). ATF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit project comprised of more than 420 national, state and local endorsing organizations united in support of a fair tax system that works for all Americans. It has come together based on the belief that the country needs comprehensive, progressive tax reform that results in greater revenue to meet our growing needs. This requires the wealthy and big corporations to pay their fair share in taxes.

Here's the list of those endorsing organizations. It's a who's who of left-wing organizations. LINK

Preferred tax rates on Walmart dividends? The same, likely, preferred tax rates that other companies get. They use estate tax trusts. Something that's available thanks to the laws of the land. What cracks me up is that the notion that it's "costing taxpayers". That's saying that the government is supposed to get the money and those mean Waltons are using those darn legal methods to keep their money and not send it to the IRS.

There talking existing government property.

Will construct the infrastructure.

Then will contract the space to a private provider.

What did I miss?

Not much different than Starbucks running inside the Pentagon.

WW
Is the coffee cheaper and does Starbucks running losing money constantly?

The stores are being opened because of Food Deserts, the major grocery store chains are not there.

Since you asked the same question again. Here is the same answer.

No, I don't. Especially when commercial grocery chains are not impacted because they aren't there.

I've been shopping at a government grocery store for decades. Ones that have government privileges that private companies don't have, such as pay rent or taxes that undercut competators in areas where there are actually grocery food chains.

WW
Why do major grocery chains not operate there? Will you be honest and answer? Or had TDS removed your last shred of honesty?

One again you prove that you are a poor marksman. You keep missing the target!

Those employees do not have the skills to justify the higher salaries. It doesn't take brain surgeon to work at Walmart, does it? Do you make the same claims for the other major retailers in America? How about Target which actually part of an even larger conglomerate of stores? Amazon is destroying those retailers!

Twice in the past week I have bought products on Amazon that either I could not find or were grossly more expensive than I could have them delivered to my home overnight! I even buy some regular staple items because my store constantly runs out of them!

He's not a leftist. TDS has just rotted his brain, or what little he had left. However, you are correct that he has no clue as to why socialism fails!
