5 - he ended the war in iraq
6 - he gave the order to get bin laden
7 - he advocated and got through the equal pay for women act.
8 - he has lowered taxes on the middle class several time. (the bailout, the payroll tax reduction)
9 - He repealed DADT
10 - He negotiated a new START Treaty
11 - he opened up markets in south korea, columbia and panama through free trade agreements.
12 - he passed legislation limiting the risk taking that can happen with banks and financial institutions to prevent another financial collapse.

I keep seeing this same post repeated over and over by progressives here and it always amuses me. Does anyone here actually think Obama's policies had anything to do with the rate of job losses slowing? Does anyone here really think that job losses could have continued at that 750,000 a month pace? Seriously? Does anyone here really think that job losses would have eased even iif he'd spent the last three years playing golf and jetting around the country on Air Force One giving fund raising/reelection speeches? Recessions always rebound. It's more a question of the strength of the rebound than whether or not it's going to occur. We've "technically" come out of a recession because we've had very small growth (and I do mean VERY small!) but I don't think anyone looking at the economy right now would call it strong. The truth is...it's been so bad for so long...that even mediocre numbers are being touted as encouraging.

Or take General Motors. GM could have very easily filed for bankruptcy...reorganized and carried on without a government bailout. I'm not quite sure how you've reached the conclusion that Barack Obama "saved" GM. He saved the unions a whole lot of cash by playing fast and loose with the rule of law and granting them rights they didn't legally have. If you like unions then that's a wonderful thing...if you think one of the reasons people have always invested in the US was because we were a country of laws that could be counted on...then you might think what happened to the GM bondholders was an extremely unwise thing for this Administration to do.

Then there is the stock market. What has Barack Obama done to make that come back? Is there anyone here that wants to tell me what Obama policy has led that stock surge? Does anyone here want to wager what the market would have done if Barry had gotten Cap & Trade passed like he was asking for?

As for financial reforms? Are you really making the case that Barack Obama has passed legislation that now protects us from another financial meltdown? Where and when did that happen? The truth is that the root causes of the recession we're currently coming out of haven't been addressed adequately at all.

Health care reform? Let's be honest here...what the American people WANTED was health care reform to lower the cost of health care. They didn't get that. Instead they got ObamaCare which is going ot raise the cost of health care while making it harder for the average American to access and adding a HUGE new entitlement that will only put the country deeper in debt. ObamaCare is probably the worst written piece of legislation ever to be signed by a US President. Not only is filled with special provisions and opt outs...much of it's core is unconstitutional and will most likely be tossed by the Supreme Court which is going to turn the entire thing into a major FUBAR.

1 - He gave what to unions exactly? the unions actually had to giver concession in the way of paying more for their benefits.
2 - bankruptcy screws investors no matter what. if you know anything about bankruptcy law, someone always loses. and in this case those people who invested in GM lost a lot. but then again thats what happen in a free market. there are winners and losers.
3 - what exactly are you referring to in cutting white collar pension? at GM? at the government? Pensions are actually a leading cause in many states as to why they are going bankrupt. moving to a 401(k) system is a much more sustainable system since it ties an individuals private account to the market. this does not prevent the company from providing matching contributions. not sure why you are upset about this.

currently Ford trades at $2.65, and GM trades at $26.55. Ford stock is down 26% from a year ago, GM is down 25%. they are basically in the same boat....

i work in a green industry and it is actually booming. there are many other jobs other than just the actual panel manufacturers.

- construction installation job
- project management jobs
- purchasing and procurement jobs
- manufacturing jobs (inverters and control building)
- solar farm maintenance jobs.

there are many more support positions as well. why are you against job creation? is it because its "green"?

He denied the KeyStone Pipeline. While Iran shuts oil to Europe and our gas prices spike.

He's forced a healthcare on this country most don't want.

His policies have increased unemployment to over 10% if unemployment was counted the same way it was under Bush. (and under Bush it never got over 6%!)

He increased spending to 100% of GDP! 100%! Do you know how much spending was under Bush for all you libs crying about Bush spending during the Iraq war?

SEVEN PERCENT! It never got over seven percent of GDP!
