No more pennies will be minted

,

it isnt always about you
never stated that it was

billions of penny's out there, they could simply not mint as much

federal reserve need to calculate if they need to add any into circulation

over a million penny's are sitting in coffee cans to add to the amount

Even if we run out of pennies, so what? Much of our transactions are cash-less. We should also get rid of nickels!

And most of all, let's get advertisers to stop doing $.99 or upcoming $.95 "sales". It's ridiculous to see an advert for $99.99. I can't believe that sells more than $100. I am much more likely to buy the latter.
Anything that costs $.99 in my part of Arizona is $1.06 out the door.

depends on context, I as in no me personally but my opinion on the matter

I recall I stated I don't really use cash but a 2% CC, in that case it would be true but still my choice

cash zero, CC 2% of my own money back which goes towards paying off the statement, win-win

If the govt stops making pennies, the retailers are going to have a hard time making change for people. How do you give change for something that costs $2.93 without using pennies?
Not everyone pays for stuff with credit cards. Is he doing this to ease us into digital currency?
P.S. I watched the Super Bowl game and I never once saw the camera focus on Trump. :26:
They will take your $3 and give you back a nickel. How hard was that?

How about pricing it to $2.95 instead?

Regarding the Super Bowl, why do you lie like that? TDS?

Another piece of wasteful spending ended. Subsidizing production of the penny was stupid. This was long past due.

As long as Trump doesn't confuse Pennycoat with
Petticoat as in the 60's Family TV series :
- Petticoat Junction - Where Healthy, very sexy farmland
gals rule the roost.

Interesting dilemna. It ain't like the United States is not
driven by virtual penny pinchers.
One of country's most interesting traits.

Ever heard of a debit card?
yep and I never had one, never needed one as I get 2% of my own money back and I pay my bill 100% every month

Debit Cards have a limitation.Meaning don't think yer going to
buy a Car with a Debit card.Because Debit Cards mean direct
instant funds removed from a Debit Card by it's user.
Whereas a Credit Card takes a monthly approach.
Where upaid amount uses a Fee or percentage each month
for transaction taken out.

correct but there are two different debit cards, one acts like a gift card and you put X amount on one, the other from a bank is linked right to your checking account

if you have 50K in the bank and want to bu a 40K car you could, the only limit is what funds you have in your bank account

"While some conservatives cheered the move, Tennessee workers who supply the U.S. Mint with the blank discs stamped into pennies weren't as thrilled, according to The Greenville Sun"

See what happens when you voted for Trump. He only wanted your vote. He said it out loud, but now you may be out of a job.

Again Trump is in the wrong on this one.

Seems everything he's doing is stupid. Chasing after the penny is right there with cops going after j-walkers. This was not a campaign promise, so Trump should stop dishing out Musk bait and switches pit stopping at stupidity like this. No president should be stopping the production of any of the American coins and dollars. It's ridiculous for a democrat to do it and twice as ridiculous for a republican to do it. It's very un-American. There is nothing patriotic about it. It's just wrong!

It just leads to us paying more. If our bill is $13.51 its designed to where you pay $13.55. You basically fluff retail. None of this makes any sense. I have a big buckets of pennies I've saved over the years like anyone else, but I'm not in favor of this horrible Trump idea at all. I believe it is a Musk idea. I don't think Trump's brain is functioning properly.

This leaves the door open for the democrats to get rid of all the silver coins. It's not only bad, but not necessary. The MAGAs need to stop cheering on such horrible and useless ideas.
