Anyone taking nitric occidental supplements? I know body builders take them but now I hear that men over 40 have reduced levels.

Just because a man or woman over age xx has reduced levels of something doesn't mean you're supposed to supplement them. It's evolutionary biology. We're SUPPOSED to have reduced levels of things. :) Like testosterone. Higher testosterone means higher chances of prostate cancer, aggression and violence, etc. The commercials for testosterone replacement hormones are skipping over the fact that lower-testosterone is actually a good thing.

"Nitric Oxide (NO) is a gas that’s naturally produced in the body; it's used to communicate between cells. “To make nitric oxide, enzymes in the body break down the amino acid, arginine,” explains registered dietitian and American Dietetic Association spokesperson Jim White. Nitric Oxide supplements actually include arginine—not nitric oxide...
...Associated risks/scrutiny: “With any amino acid-containing product, overdose is a possibility,” warns White. Too much arginine can lead to diarrhea, weakness and nausea."
