I just spent a week in Western NC. It has cleaned up nicely. No one is struggling for basics. The big deal is rebuilding the things that water damaged: some houses, storefronts, some washed out roads and bridges. Of course uninsured people are out of their physical stuff sadly. Power hit the last areas in Asheville today. There is a lot of support out here.
