New Yougov has the breakdown. I hope this ugly shutown is over soon so that we Americans can move on without our daily lives. One party is being blamed more than the other. See below:

It is all about killing the Affordable Care Act, no matter how many working Americans lose their healthcare, or how many legit contractors, farmers, small business owners paying their healthcare through the marketplace, pay through the nose. Killing it, wouldn't even be good for the insurance companies.

Both equally but the Dem voters are impacted far more as a percentage of the federal government. There is no way Trump.in good.conscience can accept any mass of spending that goes to illegals. It is far more prudent to fire some excess employees infortumately than to accept a budget that hurts Americans in the long run. This is Trumps one chance to draw fiscal conservatives back into the fold after his BBB.

A good example of the power of gaslighting.

How do you find 39% of a group who all think Republicans are to blame for the shutdown when they have already voted twelve times to keep it open?

The only reason it is shut down is because all of the democrats voted to close it.

The whole idea behind the constitution is to not allow any one person or party too much control, so, to pass a budget (without a super-majority) you need most from one party and at least some few from the other.

You must have misunderstood. I AM blaming the Democrats, because they are responsible.

My faux pas--- I am blaming the democrats too. I was merely using "you" in the 3rd person general, not meaning you in particular at all, in a double negative way to sound incredulous.

----I should probably just go to bed now...

There is no mass of spending going to illegals. This budget does hurt Americans. That's the problem.
