New poll: Who do you blame for the Shutdown?

It is all about killing the Affordable Care Act, no matter how many working Americans lose their healthcare, or how many legit contractors, farmers, small business owners paying their healthcare through the marketplace, pay through the nose. Killing it, wouldn't even be good for the insurance companies.
There is nothing about Obamacare in rhe CR

Even LW MSM is saying that Trump is gaining in popularity because of the shutdown. It benefits Trump and the GOP at this point. I hope the senate democraps keep the shutdown going until the midterms. Then the people will vote GOP in order to reopen the government. In the meantime, Trump can do what's best for the country, and the GOP.

New Yougov has the breakdown. I hope this ugly shutown is over soon so that we Americans can move on without our daily lives. One party is being blamed more than the other.
We the People look at what these thugs do in DC and we just don't seem to give a shit. Or, some of us actually LIKE it. We could work to change a political/electoral system that incentivizes and rewards the very worst impulses of its participants, and we don't.

So really, this is on us. This is a self-inflicted wound.

I just have to note once again. If the Affordable Care Act was actually affordable it wouldn't have needed all these subsidies.

Since it’s a republican majority congress lead by a republican president, don’t they kinda own it?

That is the problem, alright. Looks like it will have to be in there to keep funding, instead of choking it off, making even that healthcare unaffordable to the masses that need it, or the Dems probably will not agree.

Affordable to who? You?

I blame tRump personally. the rest of the republicans are just bobbleheads,
Yeah, well, he's responsible for sunspots and people wearing white after Labor Day too, but no one can do anything about that.

There is no mass of spending going to illegals. This budget does hurt Americans. That's the problem.
What exactly is in the budget that hurts Americans? Are you complaining about the obamadon'tcare subsidies put in by democrats with a sunset provision?

Few. If it was affordable there would be no need for subsidies.

No idea why hardly anyone demands the cost side of the equation get adressed.

Incorrect the CR keeps the funding going at the same levels . The Dems however set the big insurance bailouts to expire in Dec and they are holding the county hostage to move that expiration date which we can’t even do if we wanted to unless the govt was open

And that is what the democrats don't want to talk about. If it was going so well before the subsidies, why would it be catastrophic to go back to when it was going so well?

For many, I know that buy their health insurance in that market place, it is simply a place to get coverage, normally affordable on a corporate employee plan, but totally out of sight when not a part of a group insurance companies are looking to attract, as lucrative in the aggregate, such as mid to large corporations with thousands of employees. My son in-law (now deceased) got insurance through the Affordable Care Act, after the bottled gas company he drove for, dropped the company offering, forcing their employees to seek health insurance on the open market as individuals. He had little choice, as father of two kids, and himself a diabetic.
