Well, I understand that but is “equality of religion” a reasonable proposition? Freedom of religion is what is protected by the Constitution. “Equality” of religion is not. Does it even make sense to force the representation of a fringe religion upon a community of a different religion?

Having the government force religious representation upon communities seems kind of like the opposite of freedom of religion.

Frankly, it seems like religious persecution. Why do you think the Satanic Temple wants to impose their religion upon the Christian celebration of the birth of Christ? Using the government authority to do that doesn’t seem “empathetic”, it seems tyrannical.

If you support religious equality , then would you support forcing the majority Muslim population of Hamtramck Michigan to publicly host a Hanukkah display? Should communities be forced to give Scientology equal representation?

Individuals and communities should be free to worship as they choose. This mandated “equal” representation is an attack on religious freedom.

Government should have no role in the establishing of religion.

If they decide to open up public areas to religious displays, they need to open up for all.
