Don't be confused by grammatical gender where nouns in romantic languages are defined as male or female (and by the way, the words can't change the gender they were born with).

Gender identity is what you are referring to. It is a psychological term, and it is often thrown around by people who wish to normalize unnatural behavior and mental illness.

Using gender and sex interchangeably is what has led to all the current problems. Don't want trans-males playing women's sports, then base them on sex and not gender and the problem is solved.

I guess I don't see it that way.

Things were going along just fine for decades with male and female restrooms. There were always some small minority of gay people and people who liked to play dress up.

Bathrooms actually have different plumbing because people have different plumbing. A man in a dress does not become a woman because he feels like one.

Similar arguments apply to sports.

I think normalizing it promotes it. It also causes harm to people in locker rooms and on the sports fields. It's simply wrong.

And now they are literally pushing it on children 12 and under.

From 1958 to 1992, all female athletes underwent mandatory sex verification tests before taking part in any IAAF or IOC event. Barr body tests were conducted by taking samples from inside the cheek to find evidence of XX chromosomes...
