The signs give cause for concern. America suffers from societal and political conditions that predispose it to violence, and the list seems to be growing.

I think we'll avoid civil war for two reasons mainly.

1). The Federal government is more powerful today and will use the military to quell any Conservative resistance.
2). Americans are still WAY too comfortable and well fed to consider disrupting their comforts.

I bet this happens all the time, every year, with all legislation.

In fact, I bet there was ten times as much push back when the ACA was passed. This is sensationalism. Look what station we are talking about here. . .
