Go Norway, get richer!!! Amazing how there is so much oil and gas being found on the Norwegian side, but as soon as you cross into British waters, there is none left. :auiqs.jpg:
The UK's only hope is to follow the suit.

Whats about US?

PS Norway is also open up 70 new fields for searches.

"Last century."

You make it sound like the days of wooden ships and steam engines.

FT needs to sell newspapers as well;), so are there similar plans in the US?

Gas and oil are fickle investments. The history of the industry is one of boom and bust. Prices explode, everybody invests in exploration, supplies increase, and prices fall, bankrupting those who dove in. The U.S. has just as much capacity as the industry wants. No more, no less.

Now they have to increase the flow of North Sea Oil.

The USA has enough oil and gas - and try to make a huge profits with European states that are in need of oil and gas thanks to the USA/NATO having successfully provoked and incited a war with Putin. Now after the USA also has successfully stopped the flow of oil and gas in the Straits of Hormuz - the USA is even rubbing its paws all day long.

Not to mention the CIA/Ukraine joint venture sabotaging the North-stream pipeline.

WE have Alaska.... but we have hardly tapped into the oil fields there.

We have oil and gas too, but we’ve been run for the last 40 years by freaks — unicorns from a pink planet.

Yes, your green and always‑guilty lobby turned the biggest US state into a huge national park.
good news from Norway :

Moscow’s imperial gas industry has collapsed under our sanctions and our rejection of Moscow’s predatory imperialism; it looks like the US gas industry is a very good strategic investment.

Based on 2025-2026 industry data, the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector is experiencing a "golden age" of profitability driven by high demand for U.S. exports,
  • 2026 Market Value: Estimated at USD 170.17 Billion.
  • Future Value: Expected to reach USD 321.21 Billion by 2033.

and despite the fact that maybe the oil may have caused some of them to mutate is beyond the point. It's still a plus - plus.

There are plenty of caribou in Alaska, but people are leaving. Without the oil‑gas industry (which US leftist radicals attack 24/7), there will be no cities, no towns, no roads. So the 🇷🇺 Moscow empire could get Alaska ‘back’ for free...

Now they have to increase the flow of North Sea Oil.

After more than 50 years of heavy drilling, the majority (93%) of the easily accessible and economically viable oil has been pumped out. Remaining untapped reserves are much harder and more expensive to reach, which discourages companies from starting new projects. Hence why the UK has to buy in oil and gas.
