In Odessa, Ukraine, work has begun on the dismantling of the monument to Catherine II by whose decree the city of Odessa was founded in 18th century.
KIEV, November 6. Employees of the contracting organization have begun preparatory work for the dismantling of the monument to the Russian Empress Catherine II in Odessa. This follows from the announcement, which was posted on the fence around the monument on Sunday.
"We apologize for the temporary inconvenience. Preparatory work is underway to dismantle and transfer the sculptural composition “To the Founders of Odessa”, — stated in the ad, the photo of which is published by the local newspaper “Duma”.
Recently, vandals regularly desecrate the monument. On Sunday morning, a fence made of plywood boards several meters high was put up around it, later a sculpture of the empress with a black canvas.
In the summer, two electronic petitions for the demolition of the monument to Catherine II in Odessa scored more than 25 thousand votes required for consideration by the head of state. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in response to the petitions, asked the city authorities to consider this issue, while noting the need to get rid of objects associated with Russia.
On August 28, Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov spoke out against the intensified processes of rewriting history and mass demolition of monuments in Ukraine. According to him, in conditions when fighting is underway, any attempt to rewrite history can lead to the polarization of society. On October 29, Zelensky, in response to a petition regarding Trukhanov's statements, instructed the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to conduct an inspection.
On Saturday, the authorities of Odessa reported that residents of the city in a special application voted for the dismantling of the monument. Now this issue should be put up for discussion at the next session of the deputies of the city Council. In turn, Trukhanov reported that he himself would vote for the dismantling of the monument and its transfer to the park of the imperial and Soviet past, with the idea of creating which he had previously advocated.

Interestingly, the Bolsheviks did not touch the monument. Just like many other monuments to russian emperors, despite the absolute denial of the monarchy. But they were internationalists, unlike the ukrainian nazis, who define the value of a person by belonging to the "right" nation.
However, the same views are held by the modern nazis of the Baltic States. Freaks were allowed to show hatred.
But you know, it's certainly possible to hate russians, but it's dangerous, so I think the nurtured nazism in Europe may soon fall on its own "internal enemies". Europe has plenty of them. This was probably one of the reasons why legal and illegal immigrants were allowed to enter Europe so easily and get on the neck of the main population of European countries.
There is someone to direct anger at the deterioration of living standards, and the capitalists and the political elite have nothing to do with it! They will even lead the europeans in the "cleansing struggle" against the Untermensch.
We live in an "interesting time". 100 years ago, it was the time of Imperialism and Proletarian revolutions.
Today is the time of Financial Capital and the fascist Renaissance...
