Europe’s E3 powers – Britain, France and Germany – have drafted a counter-proposal to the controversial US peace plan for Ukraine, offering a point-by-point revision of the leaked document.

Reuters has released the text of a European counter-proposal, which the agency reviewed on Sunday. Kyiv Post has compared it with the original US draft on a point-by-point basis.

While the EU uses the American plan as its foundation, it rewrites, deletes, or reframes multiple elements that critics noted would reward Moscow or compromise Kyiv’s sovereignty.

This is embarrassing. The US is acting like an agent of Russia. Even some repubs are saying this is nothing more than a Putin wish list. Zelensky needs to stand firm or he will be crushed under the Russian boot. Why is trump carrying Putin's water?

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have balked at the arrangement, but Nebraska Representative Don Bacon was reportedly “so angry” at the idea that he thought about quitting the lower chamber altogether, he told Axios Monday night.

Bacon has little to lose since he’s already on track to retire—he announced in June that he will not seek reelection in 2026, capping his 10-year career in Congress in early 2027.

That’s given the 62-year-old some extra wiggle room to lament the Trump administration’s maneuverings, damning the rushed peace process as the “Witkoff Ukrainian surrender plan” after special envoy Steve Witkoff, who played a major role in crafting the deal.

Sounds like Europe has some really great ideas about ending the war in Ukraine.

Only NATO troops could return Ukraine to its 2014 borders, and that's what you idiots want to happen somehow.

4-5 mechanized NATO corps, 500-1000 NATO aircraft, a NATO blockade or Russian Ports, then 10-12 NATO infantry divisions to hold what was recovered.

Plus 10 or so Divisions to hold the line in the Baltics and Poland.
