NATO is at war with Russia

Bombardment of Luhansk and Dunbas has been going on for 8 years and has cost nearly $20,000 civilian lives with the blessing of the Ukrainian government. Putin's cross into Ukrainian territory is not the beginning of the war it's the response to it. This war is 9 years old.
Your figures aren't correct or you are just lying. As of 2021, the number of casualties in the Donbas conflict is estimated to be around 13000 people, among them the civilian casualties is around 3500 people.

Stop spreading Russian propaganda.

Isn't it tiresome? The lengths you have to go through to talk even an ounce of sense into the brain of the average conservative these days?

We're not at war with Russia. Russia experienced no aggression. NATO did not provoke this war.

I mean...it's sad that fools are so welcome into the GOP but when you have a cult leader who happens to be among the most dishonest public figures on the planet...this is what your political party becomes very quickly. I always said that people like Ben Sasse, John McCain, Martha McSally and some notable others deserve a better party than what the GOP has become. This thread pretty much proves it.

How Putin Can Use 5D to End the War and Merge Russia and Ukraine THIS VERY MOMENT

In one simple step

1124907551.0-750x500.jpg

Time for a 5D comeback

". . . But now I have the perfect 5D judo move in the same vein for Russia.

Why is Moscow waging this war? As Putin has explained multiple times he views Russians and Ukrainians as two branches of the same people, and is aghast with official Ukraine for doing everything to cut them apart and turn them against each other.

He, on the contrary, wants some kind of merger of Russia and Ukraine. For example in a lose political union, or at least an informal union achieved by having the two run by friendly and allied regimes.

The problem is that what is now a steamroller war is unlikely to achieve that. After tens of thousands of Ukrainian conscripts have been blown up by Russian cannons is that really going to make the Ukrainians appreciate just how close kin the Russians truly are?"

<snip>

". . . Putin can stop the bloodshed and achieve his goals tomorrow, with this brilliant 5D judo move — sign a surrender.

Just as Russians are fond of daydreaming about “Novorossiya” Ukrainians are fond of drawing maps of Ukraine that includes Russia’s Kuban. Tell Ukrainians they can have the Kuban if they take the rest of Russia too.

Let’s be real here. Differences between Russians and Ukrainians are smaller than between the northern and southern French. The reason the 40 million Ukrainians object to a merger with the 145 million Russians is that in such a merger it is they who would be subsumed. But if there were instead 145 million Ukrainians and 40 million Russians it is doubtless it is Ukrainians who would be insisting that Russians are nothing more than “Little Ukrainians”. (And the Russians who would be seeking foreign aid to prevent that.)

However, what if they don’t need to be subsumed? What if Russians, despite being the more numerous agree to be subsumed into Ukrainians? Then doubtlessly they can have the Russian-Ukrainian merger Putin desires.

It would require Russians to learn Ukrainian but since they are “one people” then Ukrainian is just an alternate Russian language so that isn’t an issue. What does it matter if the Russians speak Great Russian or Little Russian?

It would mean that Russians would live under the blue-yellow flag. But since the Russians are the first to point out that these are the colors of a medieval Russian principality in western Rus’ that should not be offensive in the least.. . ."

<snip>

". . . In one last final 5D judo stroke Putin would have robbed DC of a war where it can fight East Slavs with East Slavs and even get Russia out from under Western economic assault.

However, the sanctions would doubtlessly gradually return as Zelensky heading a realm of 180 million people with a nuclear arsenal, and a UNSC seat would no longer be contented to be subservient to DC. Very soon he would be striving to make the enlarged Ukraine a superpower in the new multipolar world order and a Piedmont around which to unite yet more Slavs (starting with the “Little Ukrainians” in Belarus).

With the worst of the Azov being destroyed in Mariupol as we speak this is the perfect time to do it. . . "

(Sorry, this was supposed to be funnier than what came out, but it’s hard to write a joke when it makes so much sense.)

Reception as weapons inspector[edit]

Richard Butler, Ritter's former UNSCOM boss, said that Ritter "wasn't prescient" in his predictions about WMDs, saying, "When he was the 'Alpha Dog' inspector, then by God, there were more weapons there, and we had to go find them—a contention for which he had inadequate evidence. When he became a peacenik, then it was all complete B.S., start to finish, and there were no weapons of mass destruction. And that also was a contention for which he had inadequate evidence."[2] Writing in The New York Times, Matt Bai said that Butler's caveat notwithstanding, Ritter was in fact vindicated about Iraq's lack of WMDs and that the aftermath of the war could be calamitous. Bai described Ritter as the "most determined dissenter and the one with the most on-the-ground intelligence" of the situation in Iraq prior to the war. However, Bai went on to compare Ritter's insistence during his 2011 trial for sex offences that his conduct was of no consequence to the wider community—and his unwillingness to consider a plea agreement—to the stridency with which Ritter advocated for his views on Iraq: "If there is a connection between Ritter the activist and Ritter the accused, though, it probably lies in the uncompromising, even heedless way in which he insists on his version of reality, and how he sees himself always as the victim of a system that is self-evidently corrupt. ... the very attribute that made Scott Ritter appear somehow clairvoyant on Iraq—his refusal to accede to everyone else's sense of reality—is the same one that has led him, now, to ruin."[2]

Seymour Hersh, who became close to Ritter in the 1990s and appeared as a character witness at his April 2011 trial, said that Ritter "understands the Arab world in a way that few Westerners I know do. You have no idea how smart he is".[2]

Arrests and conviction for sex offences[edit]

Ritter was the subject in two law enforcement sting operations in 2001.[55] He was charged in June 2001 with trying to set up a meeting with an undercover police officer posing as a 16-year-old girl.[56][57] He was charged with a misdemeanor crime of "attempted endangerment of the welfare of a child". The charge was dismissed and the record was sealed after he completed six months of probation.[57][58] After this information was made public in early 2003, Ritter said that the timing of the leak was politically motivated in order to silence his opposition to the Bush administration's push toward war with Iraq.[56][57][59]

Ritter was arrested again in November 2009[60] over communications with a police decoy he met on an Internet chat site. Police said that he exposed himself, via a web camera, after the officer repeatedly identified himself as a 15-year-old girl.[2] Ritter said in his own testimony during the trial that he believed the other party was an adult acting out her fantasy.[61] The next month, Ritter waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was released on a $25,000 unsecured bail. Charges included "unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communications facility, corruption of minors, indecent exposure, possessing instruments of crime, criminal attempt and criminal solicitation".[62] Ritter rejected a plea bargain and was found guilty of all but the criminal attempt count in a courtroom in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, on April 14, 2011.[2][63] In October 2011, he received a sentence of 1½ to 5½ years in prison.[64] He was sent to Laurel Highlands state prison in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, in March 2012 and paroled in September 2014.[17]
Why is Ritter a sex offender while Ghislaine's clients remain protected?
