Nadler announces sweeping document requests, says Trump obstructed justice

Can you name even one person who said "yeah, I saw some emails leas and decided, I'm going to change my vote to Trump instead of Hillary"?
What an absurd, desperate question. How many people do you think I know? And how many people would admit to such a thing, when they aren't even aware it has happened? None. Thats literally the entire point of a propaganda campaign.

On the other hand, you are now trying (poorly) to argue that propaganda campaigns have zero effect. Of course, that is laughably wrong . Russians undertake these efforts, because they are effective. People buy campaign ads, because they are effective. People write op-eds and give speeches on the campaign trail, because they are effective.

The Russians undertake these efforts in other countries, too. They did so before 2016, and they continue to do so, because they see a return on their investment. I can promise you, Putin saw the election of trump as a smashing success of his own efforts .

And, as someone who complains about "biased media", you make a mockery of yourself to then say out of the other side of your neck that people cannot be influenced by the information to which they are exposed.
You have a paranoid personality!

After 2 years of Mueller, the House is now the top law enforcement agency in the U.S?

Can't beat him on policies, afraid you're losing all future voters when a wall is built, worried about another Conservative Supreme Court Judge?

No problem, just harass and try and get rid of the president who was democratically elected.

Nadler announces sweeping document requests, says Trump obstructed justice

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, who would oversee any impeachment proceedings against President Trump, announced that he will submit more than 60 document requests to the White House and Justice Department on Monday -- a barrage that Nadler called the opening salvo in new and wide-ranging investigations.

Congressional Democrats have repeatedly promised to exercise tight oversight of the Trump administration since securing a majority in the House of Representatives in last November's midterms. But Nadler's comments signaled clearly that Democratic leaders are no longer counting on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's forthcoming report on possible Russia collusion to contain damning evidence against the Trump administration.

“Tomorrow, we will be issuing document requests to over 60 different people and individuals from the White House to the Department of Justice, Donald Trump, Jr., [Trump Organization CFO] Allen Weisselberg, to begin the investigations to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power,” Nadler, D-NY., said on ABC News' "This Week."

He added that the goal of the probe was "to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power."

Asked by anchor George Stephanopoulos whether he thinks Trump obstructed justice in the Russia investigation, Nadler replied: "Yes, I do. ... It's very clear that the president obstructed justice."
This is just another confirmation that the Democrats consider Mueller an idiot, since he has been looking at everything they will look and saw nothing that constituted a crime.

Or is this is just about Democrats wanting some facetime on TV to continue to make unsubstantiated allegations against the President?

The big question is, why isn't the DNC paying for all this political theater instead of American taxpayers?

You say this, but you're not concerned about where the sources of Clintons $1B+ came from. Or her Foundation and foreign govt donations. Or the fact the dossier was from a foreign source. Are you kidding me?

You are chasing this Russian Rabbit around while the entire world, possibly every government EXCEPT Russia, had a vested interest in seeing Hillary win, and you can be sure they helped put their thumb on the scale.

No no no, don't try to change the subject. We still have some things to work out regarding propaganda campaigns. You are still tasked with arguing your absurd implication that they have zero effect. Or is your assertion simply that, out of all the propaganda campaigns in history, it just so happens that this particular one had zero effect ? Either way, all of your work lies in front of you, at this point.

The Democrats are desperate to keep the "investigation" before the public and going in media whether or not there is anything to find. We are already in the next election cycle, and they need something to distract from their anti-American platform, and their three shiny new crazy people.

They've obviously given up on Mueller.

Mueller did try but found nothing, and the Democrats in the House are just trying to get face time on TV to repeat unsubstantiated allegations against the President.

When you are done cackling, I'll be waiting. I'm sure your argument will be fascinating.

What argument? It's clear as day what is happening, but we are supposed to suggest 2+2=5.

We don't need to rehash the entire episode, I think Americans can understand politics vs real dangers and crime. There is an exceptional risk going forward, the Kavanaugh Hearings were one instance, you also had the Moore allegations, it's a sign of methodology without consequences for those making the allegations. There are is also a clear Double standard, considering the revelations in Virginia.

Clinton lost. Even if Mueller somehow came to this conclusion, which I doubt at this point; it isn't the reason Hillary won, anymore than we can suggest, Hillary beat Bernie Sanders because she was leaked a question in a Town Hall (not withstanding Super Delegates).

I know this, politically, Democratic policies are not winners with Americans they are very popular with China. Who happen to have a great deal of clout with Hollywood too.

I can accept allegations that Trump hasn't used the nicest language and might have an imperfect public persona, but, there is no doubt in my mind that policy wise, he is a far better choice than seeing America stab themselves with a Global Socialist celebrated candidate. It's a long term loser for America and Western liberty.

All of this continuing "investigation" will be viewed as political, not criminal. Almost certainly, and it could have consequences for the very people creating the investigations...

and you think unlimited power to investigate for another 2 years is warranted and legit?
Yes, of course. That is the power reserved by the co-equal legislative branch. Again, you're getting into US civics.

Then Trump has to hit back hard and let the American People see what's behind their motives.

I am seeing people openly wanting to destroy America, your Constitution and the most treasured of American institutions. The biggest winner in all of this is China, Putin not far behind as he sees Americas system of Republic being harmed by Open Borders and so many other ridiculous policies that the Global Socialist have

So, lemme guess, you are NOT for transparent government?

The GOP members failed to exercise oversight; maybe the Dems will mop the floors better?

Transparent government, not perpetual persecution of the President.

This is purely political, and it's cowardly. Bet on this, the biggest losers are Americans, your businesses, jobs and the future of your Constitution.

Was the witch hunt against Kavanaugh "transparency"? How about allegations against Trump from women who quickly disappeared after he was elected?

China and their pals who make it rich from these Communists are going to destroy America if you don't wake up and call it as you see it, and they won't have to fire a shot.

And remind me; HOW LONG did the Whitewater investigation go on? LOL
Whitewater started as an investigation into a crime by Jim McDougal No crime occurred in the Trump witch hunt. The entire investigstion is based on not wanting Trump to be president so they will look for some crime. Any crime. Democrats have spent two years trying to fabricate a Russian conspiracy and failed.

What argument?
Your argument for your claim that the russian information campaign in 2016 had zero effect. I will be ignoring all forthcoming word salads that do not address this. i don't play these little games with quacks. You will either stay on this point, or I will ignore you.

Trump response: DENIED.
You think he has the power to do that?
It depends on what they request and how specific they can be about why. In general, internal work documents, which are what they are asking for can be denied by claims of executive privilege and the courts almost always uphold that response unless the committee can be very specific about what they are investigating and how these documents are needed. So obstruction of justice would not be specific enough to override executive privilege, but saying obstruction of justice by doing such and such and we need those documents to seek the truth about this suspicion might be.

But we all know this is just a fishing expedition being used to keep unsubstantiated allegations against the President alive until the 2020 elections. The good news is despite the Democrats unveiling their new oracle, Michael Cohen, and other such nonsense, the President's approval ratings continue to go up.

A lot of coverage in the media where they can repeat unsubstantiated allegations against the President. There are two kind of Democrats today, those who devote themselves completely to repeating unsubstantiated allegations against the President, most of the leadership of the Party, and those who want to turn the US into a socialist state, Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez and their supporters. There are still a few moderate Democrats who are taking a pragmatic approach to issues, but they are small in number and under attack and may not survive the next election.

They are going to try to convince Old Maggie from the Bridge Club that maybe, just maybe he is hiding something. And "look, he might not be good, but we have this great Green Deal over here that will save you and your families life!"

Like watching the Minority Report or some Communist China Social Metric to decide if you should be allowed on a plane or not.

lol Actually, they are playing with themselves. Just a few months ago they assured us Mueller would do everything necessary to "get" Trump, and now they are sputtering out new nonsense about how they are going to do what they had assured us Mueller would do.
