This was a lie. He went to Birmingham, FOR the violent police tactics. He wanted them. He was delighted when he got them, because he could use them for good propaganda effect.

ATM, I support Massie. But my support for him would drop in a heartbeat, if need be.

I'm the same way. I'm sick and tired of people who scoff at the idea that character matters in our elected officials. The whole reason we're in the mess we're in is because too many apathetic people don't seem to care about corrupt liars, criminals and sickos in high positions of power. And because they don't care? Frankly I'm starting to think we deserve to lose this country. People who don't care about honesty and integrity deserve the government they'll get. We're already seeing that happen now, but of course so many hyperpartisans are in denial....or are too blind to see what's actually happening yet.

Interesting topic. But lying - exaggerating etc will never stop as it often fits a world or social view. And today there is a media world that is so large, where would you start. Watch msnbc and then fox on the same topic. Fox fascinates me as it foreign owned, so why is it so popular among some Americans. I'm sure you know why but is it news? And politics complicates the issue as here the goal is in the background - legislation etc etc.

None the less, you're doing exactly what the OP describes on the subject of loyalty.

Eventually, this creates two entrenched camps that no longer value honesty or accountability. Each side refuses to criticize its own leaders' lies or poor decisions, fearing it would hand ammunition to the "enemy" or invite "I told you so" taunts. Loyalty becomes the highest virtue—higher than truth, integrity, or responsibility. I think you bring up an excellent point. When loyalty to a person, party or group is always put first...that's when things go in the wrong direction. For everyone.

I've said this so many times, but I feel like it needs to be said again....TRUTH should always be paramount. And for too many people it isn't. THAT is the reason why we have the worst, slimiest, lying, deceiving crooks and phonies in government, and the bar just keeps getting lower and lower.

I think all of this is by design. We've talked about this before on other threads. I believe that the same powers control both sides of the uniparty, and they purposely promote the worst candidates. They promote candidates who have no honesty or integrity, no true loyalty to the constitution or the principles this country is supposed to stand for, because they're phony traitors...globalist stooges) Why do they do this? Obviously when the powers-that-shouldn't-be control both sides, they always win. And we always lose. And everything gradually moves in the direction the globalists want, as the public continues to fall for the LO2E scam every 4-8 years.

They pick out the best liars and make us think we have a choice.

If you've ever tried to be delegate at your state convention, for an honest candidate, you'll see where the real rigging takes place. It's not at ballot box. It's at every local party headquarters. Once the orders are sent down from the national headquarters, as to who the party is going to support (before the primary elections), the local chairman and all those in leadership positions, start pushing for that candidate. They squelch any descent from anyone not fully supporting the chosen one. (in a somewhat sneaky way)
