So, you do not believe Carr said it? What would it take to convince? There are gobs of references to it, besides Ted Cruz saying he said it. Bottom Line is It is against the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution for the Government to attempt to exercise control over speech, and we have all seen the Kimmel tape, and know, no matter how much some may be angered, there was nothing illegal, or that breaks any Federal regulation, so Carr was wrong to comment, especially in the way he did. You should not forget, either, that after the Colbert canceling (to please the administration and grease merger regulatory control, Trump, himself, said Kimmel was next, so there intent for the last two month was to stifle that comedian's voice in the marketplace of ideas before the public. Obviously, he never said anything actionable, as Trump has never sued him, and we all know, Trump sues everybody, if he thinks he has a leg to stand on.

But, by putting out that word on him, though he had committed no FCC infraction, the pussies at the network preferred the easy way, instead of the hard way, and the Trump administration got it's way. Patently illegal, but Disney knew, the Trump administration could screw them over in other ways, so they chose the easy way. If they had resisted, they would win, in Federal Court, as Federal court follows Supreme Court rulings, but that would not prevent the administration from fking them over on something else, such as threatening the license of affiliates, which the FCC does control.
