I am glad you said "if I am not mistake", because you simply are mistaken. Otherwise, you could research posts and find an example. It's really stunning that you didn't have anything to say when the Biden Administration sent FBI, and Homeland Security to Twitter, and FB telling them what to take down from their site....In fact, if I am not mistaken, you supported these actions....
Only to the TDS afflicted who would accuse Trump and company in that way but never those on the left or in their own TDS camp.
The Regs were written by FCC, and they looked at late night differently than prime time, where normal prime time television was viewed by children. Perhaps you should talk to your parents about why they did not protest, when the regs were put out for public comment, back in the 60s/70s. Or, you could start a movement now. Is cussing and swearing what you would want your kids watching on network television, in primetime and in reruns when the get home from school? I am not sure, how far you will get. I guess you probably don't want hardcore sex scenes clipped from movies shown during prime time and the afternoon, and during summer breaks, either. All, I can say is sell your new standards to the masses, to get them codified into law and regulation, with your congressman and mine, as it is chartered as an Independent US Government Agency, directly accountable to Congress, and certainly not the President or a political party. Then why can't anyone say "****" in sitcoms?
Just STFU...You're once again in so far over your head that you're going to get the bends.
I think its a dark day foe all of us in the conservative camp. I define conservatism as anything Mr Trump says it is. Cruz is now on the outer of this family, Its a sad day.
Maybe he did not wish to apologize for his joke. When you make a bad joke, not taken well in public, we have been taught, by trump, you should really just double down, right?I saw it, he looked into the camera with an evil glare. All bets were off after that.
That's your interpretation.
Kimmel was afforded the chance to apologize. He turned it down and was fired.
Well, for one thing, Carr (FCC chair) is certainly a man not true to his words. He clearly stated for many years that Freedom of Speech was a right we all had and now he has been the first to throw Freedom of Speech into the garbage.I never in my life thought that this turncoat would stab us conservatives in the back by comparing Trump’s FCC chair to a mobster.
I would expect that from AOC.
Mod Edit: Keep the OP clean
A business decision, made, based on interference by direct comment of a regulatory arem of the Federal Government, two months after Trump said, we got Colbert, Kimmel is next. Probably why there was no move, suggestion, or plan announced to change format or replace Kimmel (#2 in his time slot) before then. Probably just convenient coincidence, rather than Federal Government influence, right. Yeah, yeah, right, sure buddy. They are all losing tens of millions of dollars every year. Kimmel's audience is down 40% from when Trump fist took office and he he started his remarkably unfunny Jihad. Most significantly he's lost 72% in the key money making demo.
It was a business decision, plain and simple.

I thought we were smarter than that "buddy" Oh well. Keep up the useful idiot role. It fits you well.A business decision, made, based on interference by direct comment of a regulatory arem of the Federal Government, two months after Trump said, we got Colbert, Kimmel is next. They are the biggest cherry pickers ever. Then why can't anyone say "****" in sitcoms?

I wonder. Did you ever criticize, much less condemn Joe Biden or any Democrat for their inflammatory rhetoric? On more than one occasion I heard the President of the United States call people like me a threat to America.A business decision, made, based on interference by direct comment of a regulatory arem of the Federal Government, two months after Trump said, we got Colbert, Kimmel is next. The rhetoric calling President Trump that and worse from Biden and many other Democrats was most likely the catalyst for Trump almost being killed twice.
Well all the mourning over an uncaring and hateful Jimmy Kimmel is diverting attention from the mourning of a wonderful man, a true national treasure,
like Charlie Kirk whose memorial service will begin in about an hour and a half. He too was likely killed because of how Democrats characterized him.
So President Trump expresses his opinion about hate speech coming from late night television; the FCC chair says he'll look into whether FCC rule have been violated, and the Democrats consider that the most horrible thing in the world?
We could debate what a President, what an FCC chair should be allowed to say in public. Maybe Ted Cruz is right that the FCC chair should not have announced a possible investigation and action. But since I do not believe it was that statement that was the action reason Kimmel was fired, I still don't know if I agree with Cruz about that. But certainly if President Trump can say what he is thinking about all that, so can Ted. Free speech works both ways.
But I'll take you leftists a lot more seriously when you apply the same standards to everybody and not just President Trump and his team and supporters.
That is true. But the Democrats/leftists are making a far bigger deal out of Jimmy Kimmel being fired as being 'wrong' than they ever did about the attempted Trump assassinations or the Charlie Kirk assassination. They almost never condemn calls for violence or action against somebody from their side.Something doesn't have to rise to the level of "most horrible thing in the world" to be wrong.
You were a threat to America? What did you do to get singled out?I wonder. Did you ever criticize, much less condemn Joe Biden or any Democrat for their inflammatory rhetoric? Your video, did not tranfer correctly as a link, so I cannot pull it up.
Nobody in late night has been cited by the FCC, as no FCC rules or regulations have been broken. It was simply a scare tactic, warning of what might come in other areas if they didn't get rid of Kimmel and ABC, true to it's name Always Be Caving, decided to do it the easy way, for the good of the owners of the network, since being told the choices by Brandon Carr.
And as quoted by Conservative Trump supporter Ted Cruz![]()
Brendan Carr flagrantly abused his powers to cancel Jimmy Kimmel
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way," the FCC chairman said, threatening to punish broadcasters for airing the comedian's show.reason.com

Sen. Ted Cruz compares FCC chair Brendan Carr to mob boss
Cruz said Brendan Carr's threat to yank the FCC license of ABC over Kimmel's comments was like something out of "Goodfellas" and "dangerous as hell."www.khou.com
That, and losing tens of millions of $$$$ for his bossesThat's why he was fired.
Politics doesn’t matter, free speech is free speech. Schumer said that silencing Kimmel is a threat to democracy, in 2019, that not silencing Trump was a threat to democracy.Unless it's done by the democrats.
