We have a Commerce Clause. Only right wingers have more of a problem with Capitalism than they do with the general warfare.
Plus they have a severe problem with allowing people their right to privacy.
Greed is good under Capitalism. We have a Commerce Clause, what can go wrong?
Waiting in line for 2 hrs to get bread in Venezuela is what could go wrong.......My lord
Socialism can be good for central planning purposes and for socializing costs.

Bread tractors for the People!

"Socialism can be good for central planning purposes and for socializing costs."

yeh, we saw it already commie

Does it take morals to bear true witness and faithfully execute our supreme law of the land? There is no general malfare clause only a general welfare clause.

Well, this is the biggest I-told-you-so story I've seen.

As soon as the globalists take over, American manufacturing goes overseas.
what gave Moscow to him in return ?
Customers ya moron. You all think he's going to build cars in Russia to ship to the US? You go where the work/demand is.
If he shuts down American plants then you have a valid complaint. Until then you just look petty & paranoid. BOTH of you

FYI:
Elon Musk is talking about building a Telsa Plant in Russia to service the Russian Market, not to move current production there and what makes you think that Musk is a globalist?
Rampant internet paranoia

I agree. I don't think he's a globalist. I don't think he is trying to end current production in the US.

He was invited there so the Russians could flirt with him and get him to move manufacturing to Russia. My point is that when domestic operations become strained because of market factors or government policy, that is the perfect time to poach large employers.

We have seen that here in Texas at least 100 times. Texas has poached so fucking many businesses from California that for the first time ever, Cali lost a house seat to population decline, and that is mainly because of California's government policies and unfriendly business climate compared to Texas.

To be fair, said he only one day hopes to open the manufacturing plant in Russia. But, my point is that Russia is pouncing because Russia sees an opportunity.

This is no time to make America's business climate less tolerable.

(think taxing policy)

Sorry, I misunderstood your comment regarding globalists, thought you were referring to Musk.

I don't believe the Russians are trying to get him to move production there, they're trying to court him to set up production for their market (and possibly other Asian markets), when the market reaches the point where it can support the business, Musk would have to be crazy to offshore production to Russia given the risks involved (property rights are exactly airtight in Russia at the moment, it's a kleptocracy after all). Musk has generally bucked the trend by keeping most of Tesla's manufacturing in the U.S. when he could have easily offshored to cheaper locations (other than the two offshore Gigafactory's in China and Germany), which I think does him credit.

At the end of the day, he's a forward looking Entrepeneur and is always going to be looking at future opportunities and thinking about how to take advantage of them, which is what he SHOULD be doing (for his shareholders) and I believe this case involving Russia is just an example of that.

Looks like Elon Musk's dream of meeting Putin may come true after he praised Muscovit ulus at a Kremlin-run conference this morning. Putin's spokesman said "in time it’ll probably happen at some point." Key Navalny ally Lyubov Sobol says Musk took part in an "instrument of state PR + propaganda, an instrument for upholding the myth that in modern Muscovy , which is mired in corruption and lies, the development of science and technology is still possible." shame on you Musk , now you are officially part of Putin´s propaganda war against our democratic world , or its all about cheap nickel and cobalt?

"
Elon Musk spoke warmly of Russia during a Kremlin-sponsored event for students, praising its history of achievements in space and expressing openness to one day building a Tesla Inc. factory in the country.

The Tesla chief executive officer took questions for roughly 45 minutes at the invitation of Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesman....Russia that is electric is less than 0.2%,..."

Hero of the left

So many dumb ignorant fucks on this board. You do realize that there are many Russian companies operating in the US right now? One of them is Evraz, which owns the only steel plant on the West Coast that can roll armor plate and titanium. If Musk is allowed to build plant in Russia and sell Tesla's there, he will do it on his own terms, pretty much as he has done in China, and is presently doing elsewhere.

At some point, lack of infrastructure becomes more of an issue than taxing policies. It was the fact that we had a very developed infrastructure at the beginning of WW2 that allowed us to become the arsenal of the Allied war effort. Without the big hydroelectric dams, we could never have smelted and built the huge bomber wings, nor the fighting and liberty ships that were so much a key to our victory.

The plants he has here cannot keep up with our demand. He has over a million pre-orders for the cybertruck. And already the after market people are building some really trick addons for the cybertruck.
