If you read the OP itself, it is about Musk making Billions in China and Trump wanting to raise tariffs in China, which would impact Musk.

The question in the OP is "how can Musk and Trump agree on China if Trumps actions would impact Musk's pocketbook"?

Musk does not care about money at all. He has a new passion and that is fixing our badly broken government. He doesn't give a crap if he loses billions he is worth hundreds of billions.

His main passion is making the Human Race multiplanetary, and he sees a strong US government that cares for its citizens and its economy as the best method of reaching that.

Why would it be short lived? First, I enjoyed 2016-2020 and was looking forward to another four years. I also enjoy having the presidency, the House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court.
