Musk faces setbacks amid Tesla selloff and Doge backlash

You sound like a commercial for Elon by the Secretary of Commerce. Just when did the US Government start advertising for specific manufacturers and products, anyway?
I guess when the lunatics started bombing dealerships and terrorizing innocent Tesla costumers.
I have seen exactly zero commercials for Elon, but I have seen stern warnings against the anti Tesla terrorists.
Mainly because they are commiting acts of terrorism.

‘Elon Musk began the week of 10 March with a friendly sit-down interview on Fox Business to talk about his work with the so-called “department of government efficiency” (Doge) and the state of his businesses. Already, it had been a trying few days for the world’s richest man, who was facing a Tesla stock selloff and fierce backlash over his attempts to radically overhaul the federal government. His net worth declined over $22bn on Monday alone ...

The past 10 days have marked several of the most significant setbacks for Musk in months. Tesla, arguably his marquee company, continued to fall in value as investors worried about the threat of trade war and possible recession – as well as declining profits. Escalating protests against the company over the billionaire’s role in the government also grew in number and intensity across the US, coupled with rising cases of vandalism and social stigma against his cars. SpaceX has also struggled, with one of its rockets dramatically exploding in midflight last week and then an announcement on Wednesday that it was delaying a rescue mission to retrieve “stranded” astronauts.’

Musk is among the more reprehensible and obscene manifestations of the second Trump regime – an unelected robber baron in a make-believe ‘department’ engaged in a reckless, irresponsible, and unwarranted attack on lawful governance.
Utter nonsense.

Tesla stock is up nearly 700% from five years ago.

Too bad you feel that way. I guess you will have to live with it, just as Muks has to live with his failing sales, and political unpopularity, partially related to his new-found political status and actions, after buying the election for Donnie. In order to get a free hand to make his changes, legal or illegal, good or bad, informed or totally lacking in understanding of who he fires, what they do, in many cases, not even appearing to care. He is running the Government pretty much like his Tesla company he is CEO of, running it into the ground, without quality control, and enduring failing support.
Thanks for showing us who you are, as if we didn’t know already

Musk has so much on his plate right now, a few low-lifes damaging Teslas on dealership lots is just a small blip on his radar.

Saving the US from bankruptcy is by far the most important project he has, DOGE is saving America.

So are you against Biden's push for EVs and the phasing out gas/fossil fuel powered vehicles?
I didn't care, as Joe never influence me on car/truck buying choices, as he wasn't going to make the payments. Maybe that is for dedicated democrats. I never had any intention to change to an Electric car. I like my gas powered SUVs and before that liked my gas powered pickups, vans, sedans and sports compacts, American and Japanese. I am not unhappy with my gas mileage. Both of our SUVs get about 23 MPG on the interstate, though drop down to 17 in city driving. They give us room to spread out and get comfortable, and I have never had one catch on fire on the road, at fuel stops or at home. I would take the Jeep anywhere in the back country I would or have chosen to go. Plus, if I had too, I could work on it, If I had to, which I would not say, about an electric vehicle. I am at that age, where you probably should stick to what you know best and what your non-dealership mechanics know the best. The Motor Officer course I took in the Army didn't teach jackshit about electric vehicles, though in a pinch I can work gas powered cars, trucks, and diesel trucks, carriers and tanks (pre-turbine engine, that is).

I certainly don't mind if you own and drive your EV, so you can save the whales, save the air, or maybe save the planet, if you think you can help or it needs your help. You are simply stuck, doing it without my help. You can just be stuck with rejoicing, that at 70, I'm not going to be around to do much more damage as all the men in my family (and most of the women) kick the bucket at 84 or 85.
